Date of Visit: 5/8/2020 OVERVIEW - 5.0 Gassed up here while passing through. Granted in my defense, I've passed through Thayne several times in my life, but rarely was I behind the wheel to make the executive decision to fill up with gasoline. LOCATION - 5 Maverik has a great location located right there on the main road straight on through town. Easy quick stop both in and out. PRICE - 5 Gas is gas and people will complain about the price til the end of combustible engines. PRODUCT/SERVICES - 5 It's gasoline, I don't know much of the difference between brands or kinds. I only know that it is hazardous to your health to drink it, so I don't. POINTERS/PERKS - N/A If you frequent Maverik anywhere, it is best to signup for their Maverik Black Nitro card which will save you up to six cents per gallon on unleaded gasoline. EMPLOYEES - N/A I didn't see any employees on this most recent fill up, as I stayed at the pump and didn't go inside.

I am a local in the area. I have been using Maverick Stores all over for 15 years. This particular one chooses to use their manager's "discretion" and up the ante on their ID rules for age restricted items. I spent roughly $11,000 at this store in the last year between gas and convenience store items, am 56 years old and show it but they insist on seeing my ID card EVERY time though the Maverick Corporate Policy says look 40 years old or 50 years old depending on who you speak to. I am as I said 56 and look it. At one point this store refused to accept my U.S. Passport for ID and though their Corporate Management corrected them on that I am no longer spending my money there. The Manager D. and some of their employees just don't care. They have it backwards. They think somehow they are the boss of their customers on this issue. They exhibit retaliatory behavior since they know I'm the one who contacted their Corporate management. I refuse to give my money to folks who get off on a perceived power (not accepting my ID or inconveniencing me every time I purchase there). I will take my money to the station up the street.

I stopped Friday to make a purchase. The male clerk went on a rant over my bank debit card in front of other people. Apparently the local bank I use sometimes doesn’t jive with their card readers! I was so embarrassed! It went through fine but he made such a fuss everyone must have thought it was declined. I will not be back! Thank you for humiliating me while doing business! Also they are the only place I’ve been that requires Exact change due to coin shortage. It’s ridiculous!

This place is awesome! Super friendly employees, clean store, you never leave without a good laugh and being asked how your day is. They are always happy to be working! Every once in awhile you can catch someone busting a move and dancing!

I prefer going here over the grocery store due to things on sales, as well as the mto, which is amazing to say the least.
