First time visiting Meld.
The food was unfaultable. Extremely tender & very fresh & tasty. Wasn't too pricey & the cocktails were good too.
By far the best restaurant in town.
The staff very friendly & attentive.
Lovely atmosphere was nice & different from what else is around. Highly recommend & we will be back.

An unexpectedly high-quality restaurant. Whether in Wellington or Auckland, I have never encountered such a unique, understated and elegant restaurant. If it wasn't only open Thursday-Saturday, I would eat here every night. The price of the restaurant is very cost-effective(value for money) for its high quality of food, service, and decoration.
The most unique thing is “SALMON SASHIMI”, its taste is very special, it is difficult to tell which culture it is integrated with. There are very few dishes that my son never forgets. This is one of a kind.
DUCK SIU MAI, the skin of the siomai is well-prepared and elastic.
SLOW COOKED LUMINA LAMB SHOULDER, the meat is very soft and glutinous, and the juice is well prepared.
TROPICAL WHITE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE is also great.
The presentation is exquisite and thoughtful.
There were a large number of guests that night, and the staff was very busy. It was obvious that some staff were nervous. But still able to take good care of guests. At the same time, the dining standards are also very stable. The whole team, great!

We should’ve listened to the lady that served us. she told us that “Meld fare” menu should’ve filled us. but my partner thought it would not be enough. we were sooo full! we ended up can’t finish the main menu and the sides! amazing taste for type of fusion foods. all dishes have rich flavour. the meld fried rice is my top one as it is really like the real Indonesia fried rice (I am from Indonesia btw). the pork bites are massive! I was expecting small and tiny. worth of money!!!! very nice cocktails 🍸

First time eating here and very uniqie for Invercargill. Cant fault the staff, well waited on and food was fast and pretty well priced.
We got 6 dishes and a desert, there was a couple of dishes we didnt like but thats on us, poor food selection on our behalf others may love them. I loved the fried chicken and pork bites were great. My wife had the tofu and thought it was great, mushroom dumplings and bombay burgers just disnt do it for is.
Ginger Creme Brulee was on point, left feeling great, not over full and with some great tastes bouncing off the tounge.

We have been to Meld several times food is consistently good, staff are more relaxed and building confidence which comes with experience. Atmosphere good but could do with tea-lite candles on each table which adds to an ambience.... Well done ILT.

Excellent service from beginning to end. All our wait staff were professional and well versed in there menu absolutely excellent. The food also was first class we had several dishes between us and all were beautiful. We will be back to try the rest of the menu, so good in every way

Absolutely delicious! What a treat for invercargill to have such beautiful delicious Asian fusion cuisine… that is actually extremely well executed! I’ve tried 7 or 8 plates off the menu over a couple of visits and everything has been fab! New cocktails were perfect too! Service was excellent - honestly couldn’t fault anything. Will be back!!!

Food had heaps of flavour and was delicious.

First time going here. A lot of other people I know had. The food was fantastic. Loved the cauliflower! Took ages and I mean ages to get our cocktails. So long that we were ordering as soon as they arrived. Service was ok. they were either overly attentive or not at all. Really great atmosphere though and food really was fab.
