Large pepperoni pizza was the best I have had in a long time. Very affordable and clean dining room.. however the young lady working the counter was more interested in young guy who was just having a drink, than she was helping the dine in customers.. I had to ask for cups, Parmesan cheese and a box for our left overs.. after we ordered she never said another word to us at all.. I ordered a calzone from their and when I got home and opened the box it looked absolutely horrible and over half of it didn’t even have ingredients, the next day I talked to one of the employees their and showed him pictures and he said they would take care of it for me and when I went in I was told I had to talk to the manager and when I did he said that he wasn’t gonna take care of it and their was nothing they could do. We stopped in here for lunch while visiting from out of town and enjoyed ourselves! It was during a dead period and there was only 1 server (Payton) and we received great service. She was very friendly and talked to our kids (8 and 6) about their orders. My daughters ordered the half roast beef sub and spaghetti with meatballs and garlic knots. The garlic knots weren't great, but they loved the rest of their meals. My husband and I ordered the stromboli and ham & cheese sub. Both were delicious. We ordered cannolis for dessert and they were very rich & yummy!

Stromboli and calzone are mostly dough and were overcooked and extremely dry and way too crunchy. Quality of food here has been hit and miss for a while now. On my last visit the pizza crust had zero flavor and was not cooked enough and had a very sticky doughy taste to it. Please explain to me how we get our delivery and my husband ordered 2 pieces of chocolate cake for us for New Years and both slices were covered in mold. My husband calls back up to the restaurant and lets them know and to have them replaced with something else (which they are lucky we called them and gave them a heads up instead of the administration). Why they did not catch this before they sent it out to us I will never know. The manager spoke through the waitress on the phone as if my husband could not hear him and told her that he's not replacing anything, he took it off the bill and will refund us and that's our discount. Well that defeated the purpose of not going out on New Years Eve and dealing with traffic but also how is that a discount if we still have 2 disgusting pieces of cake. We were not asking for a refund only for the food to be replaced. We were not trying to get something for nothing. However that manager was rude as can be when he thought my husband could not hear him and also he should have been a little more concerned over the fact that the cake was covered in mold versus a refund or replacement of the food. That's the least of his worries if that's what they are sending out to their customers. This is a huge health hazard in the restaurant not to mention poor management to customer who have been here ordering from them since they opened their doors in Surf City. pictures included. Extremely long delivery time! The driver got lost in the 1.5 miles from the restaurant to my house. When they finally got here the pizzas looked like this! I immediately called, and the manager wanted to get new pizzas made and sent out to replace these. It’s already been an 1.5 hours. My kids are hungry I’m hungry I’m not going to make my kids wait another hour to eat, I demanded my money back but of course I have to wait for the driver try to try to find my house again before they’ll refund me my order. What was supposed to be a nice pizza night turned into a stressful delayed and rushed whip together something fast. Extremely disappointed!!! Never ordering from here again!

Food was fine, if a little high. I've gotten used to the quantity of the Michaelangelo's in Greenville over the years and all those locations are comparable in quality and menu. This pizza is fundamentally different than the other chain locations (I'm assuming it's a franchise) and as such they don't have the extra large new York style slices I'm accustomed to, nor do they have deals for specialty pizzas, so if you want something with a decent amount of toppings, expect to pay through the nose. I've lived here for over a decade and Michelangelo's is trash now.¹ it used to be an Eatery. children run it and just hide behind the counter on their phones. the food is always cold. they always have an excuse. the staff is rude and their food can be replicated by a grocery store pizza or microwave meal. save your time and money. When I saw all the dough boxes laying around it kind of set the scene for what was coming to our table. My meatball sub was okay but kind of small. Lasagna and my sister-in-law lasagna was very soupy leading us to believe that it was not homemade and probably just reheated , all in all it wasn't bad but would not go back Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
