I've been on a bakery spree and chose Michette to be my last one of the year. Definitely ended on a high note because everything that I bought was so good!
The place opened at 7:30 AM on the dot. There is some street parking out front, and someone had the same idea as me to go at opening, so I can only imagine how busy it gets later in the day. There is no seating inside, so expect to take things to-go.
I tried the almond and chorizo croissants. The almond croissant was the best that I've ever had. I can see why it sells out within the hour. It was so flaky and nutty. There was a delicious almond glaze spread across the center. The chorizo croissant was also yummy. I don't gravitate toward savory pastries, but I would get this again. There were also some caramelized onions, which added a nice depth. Both croissants tasted better warm, so I recommend toasting them before eating.

We are lucky to have both Colette and Michette close by. They are both excellent French bakeries that make both pastries and bread. We like both very much. Colette has more variety and even make sandwiches plus their coffee is perfect. Michette would be a worthy option if we are in East Somerville. Recommend you try it out.

Some of the best croissants in Boston. Prepare to wait in line, but it's worth it when you enveloped by the aromas of Michette. Jina and Barrett are quick and efficient.
They use really good specialty flour. The fact that they Canellé says a lot. Guava cheese "danish" hits the balance of sweet and savory. The ham and cheese croissant has a spread of mustard that just balances out the richness, and has converted my girlfriend to accept mustard. Cold brew is also really good. You be surprised how many places mess up cold brews. Street parking and metered parking adjacent to the shop.

I pass by this place all the time and finally decided to stop by. I’m glad I did! It’s a cute little bakery with very warm and cozy vibes. There isn’t a lot of shop space, so keep that in mind. I’ve seen a small line with the last person in the doorway before.
I got a spinach and feta za’atar. It was a flaky and crispy pastry. I loved the spices and seeds on top. They added a nice texture to the pastry. The flaky layers were perfect. Even though I ate this a few hours after I bought it, it was still crispy.
I’ll definitely come by again!
