They're not anything like they were a year ago when we went. We were so looking forward to eating there and boy were we disappointed. Won't be going back unfortunately. They have changed there breading recipe and now instead of fillets you get fillets pieces. With no real taste. Hush puppies were very good but very oily. Coleslaw was fantastic. Baked potatoes hot. Onion rings no flavor but burnt grease and burnt flour taste that you could even taste the onion. Tea was very good love the little individual pitcher cups they serve it in...cute idea. But I we didn't go for the tea we went for the catfish... very disappointed 😥 For got to mention... Don't ask for the oysters on the half shell tho on the menu... They don't serve them. Ordered to-go, calling ahead, customer service was excellent. Picking up was easy, friendly staff, food was being bagged up when I got there so perfect timing. Food was delicious, probably would be even better if ate at restaurant. Fried squash was a little soggy due to bagged up but yet was still good! Onion rings were huge and the crust was perfect. Catfish was amazing! Seasoning was perfect and they were fried right. Chicken fried steak was good and loved the buttered toast! Next time we will try eating there!
