Wow… yeah no so favorable . Staff good, they lost my latte? Seriously… someone took it after being made.. French toast was so darn DRY and sweet.. had to toss it. The eggs and potatoes, come on, who can mess this up? They did, dry, no flavor and the portions were like a starvation diet size. Tossed.. in our opinions, we don’t know HOW this place has a 4 star review. The 2 stars are for the staff at the order line and cashier. The latte girls have zero personality and skill. The coffee and latte was watery.

This bakery was HIT on our trip! Pastries, fresh breakfast items, cakes, and etc! You name it - they have it. Good quality, cute little European style bakery with a very nice ambiance. We had following: Banana bread slice - 5/5 Tea - 5/5 Coffee - 5/5 Pastries - 5/5 Orange juice ( freshly squeezed)- 5/5 Pancakes - 5/5 Waffle - 5/5 Everything was on point! Clean, good staff, good quality food, and cute ambiance. 💯 recommend!

We ordered two tuna melts, one with a green salad; the other potato salad. The tuna melt bread was not limp, but not grilled or even toasted. The tuna salad leaned toward a lemon/tart flavor. The melts were served open-faced which we expected per the menu description but the restaurant placed a second piece of plain bread underneath the piece that held the tuna. Very strange presentation. The potato salad had an off tasting spice in it - threw it out; not a typical potato salad side. Green salad side was fresh and plentiful, however. The bakery had a wide selection of German themed cookies which brought back memories of the bunter tellers my mother would present at Christmas. Bought a dozen of the cinnamon stars to eat on the road trip. Horrible. No flavor and weird texture. Tossed. Used to come to this place years ago when I lived in the Bay Area. It is definitely not the same quality or atmosphere -- customers have to view a disheveled kitchen area waiting for takeout. Everything is crowded and seems tired. Order also took forever to receive. This place is half bakery and half restaurant, with a wood-fire pizza oven and a selection of salads and sandwiches. The bakery offers a wide range of breads, pastries, and cookies. Indoor (in the courtyard) and outdoor seating available. Service was fast and friendly.

Half Moon Bay is a small town on the coast not far away from San Carlos snd Belmont. You can takes half an hour drive through highway 92 to reach the town center of Half Moon Bay easily. Most of the boutique shops and stores are located at the main street. There're some nice mural paintings on the buildings. Not very crowded at weekend but weekends could be full of visitors.
