One of the best value meals I've had in Jeju. My husband and I walked in without a reservation at 6:45 PM on a Wednesday night, but the chef/owner was kindly able to accommodate us (there were only 2 other groups in the restaurant). He didn't speak much English, but we just took a photo translation of the menu and pointed to the one we wanted. We got 2 sashimi sets for 25K won/person. The chef worked on one course at a time, so at first, I was worried there wouldn't be enough food for two people, but I was quickly proven wrong! Our sashimi set for 2 people had 7 courses with side dishes and ssam wraps: 2 sashimi platters, cheese corn, tempura, whole grilled mackerel, whole deep-fried sweet and sour fish, fish soup, and claypot fried rice. It was all very delicious, fresh, and incredibly satisfying! The owner came out with each course right before we finished the previous course. He was serving everyone in the restaurant by himself and still managed to keep up with cleaning and cooking! I was so impressed!
The restaurant itself looked pretty old, but it was very cozy. There was a TV in the front that was playing DC/Marvel superhero movies in the original English audio with Korean subtitles, so it was nice to watch while eating.
I'm still in shock that we only paid 50K won for this amazing meal for 2 people. We would have gladly paid double that for the high quality and quantity of food we got. When we were done, we just paid in cash at the front (though I also saw a card reader at the counter if you don't have cash). Highly recommend for you to come here for lunch or dinner after a hike at Seonghan Ilchulbong!

One of the best meals I had in Korea. 7 delicious 반찬 and then the fried rice with the abalone (전복 볶음밥)was exceptional! I visited for lunch on a weekday, there was no waiting. The owner was very welcoming and kind. Very much appreciated and highly recommended!

Great value for the variety of food you get. Reservation a must, ingredients are good and fresh too. The owner was doing everything by himself I almost felt bad!(If it was North America he deserves a lot of tip) Worth a visit :)
We had our best meal here for this Korea trip and I can understand why there are no -ve reviews. The ingredients are so fresh and great value for $. The set meal comes with fresh shell fish and fish, fried fish and grilled fish amongst other thing. We enjoyed the meal.

For a course of 25k krw, you get 2 courses of fresh sashimi, a grilled saba fish, a deep fried fish, tempura, cheese corn, white radish soup and fried rice! The quantity and quality is just wow!
