The food was terrible. We got a plate of jerk chicken and rice and peas. My friends and I are from Jamaica and could not even eat the food. For the price the food should be better. The jerk chicken had pepper but no flavor. The rice was way too soft and watery like. When i asked for my money back they said no. This place won’t make it serving this type of food.

Lovely, Caribbean-centric decor (albeit with decidedly uncomfortable seats) with great service and fairly high prices. Unfortunately, the food does not quite match the expectations set. The Jamaican Rice & Peas was overcooked and surprisingly bland (at least compared to other "cooked by Jamaicans" offerings that were experienced in both Trinidad and Jamaica. Other items sampled (for example, the fried plantains) were just OK.
With a little more effort (and spices), and a price haircut, this could become a must visit location ... keep trying ... hoping you get it right. 🤞🏽💪🏽

Had a terrible experience with this restaurant the rice and peas use too much cinnamon and the chicken is pure bone. When trying to get make there wrongs right they just yelled and completely disrespected my Jamaican heritage DO NOT WASTE MONEY HERE.

Randomly popped in here to buy food today. I was highly disappointed!
I bought a curry lunch, jerk chicken with shepherds pie and red beans and a beef patty. The tastiest thing was the beef patty!
The curry is the most watery tasteless I've ever eaten the beef was as tender as a rubber slippers I couldn't even eat it, the jerk chicken was meh, slight flavor on the outside only 😕.
The price tho 😱🫣. This cost more than I spend on food for my 5 day work week.
I don't mind paying for great food, but this? This was a huge waste of money.
The only good thing here is the customer service IMO.

As a Jamaican I have no clue what it is dem a serve. The jerk chicken was bare chicken back and the rice a peas was a joke. When we call to tell them they did nothing to render the situation right. Ig I could give the place 0 stars I would. It also took 2.5 hours to get here.

Myrtles has a great lineup of jamaican and local cusine. I got the jerk chicken, provision pie, fresh salad and a spiced pineapple punch , it was delicious. Great service with a decor that showcases the Caribbean culture. Highly recommend

Jerk Chicken Burrito
Very nice personable staff. Good atmosphere (Sunday brunch). Okay presentations. Tastes, less than okay. Food is catered to those uncomfortable with strong flavours and broad beans in their oxtail. Nothing wrong with that, just not for me.
