I have come to Five Star Seafood Restaurant many times for dinner or dim sum breakfast. Their food is very good, and the price is reasonable compared to the other restaurants in the area. The restaurant is usually very busy on the weekends for dim sum breakfast, and we can get a table easier at dinner time. The service is matched with most Chinese restaurants in the area. The food is delicious. I’m coming again next time when I’m in Los Angeles. My sister loves this place and took us here to eat seafood, Cantonese style, and it was yummy! We've been here a few times and the food is always authentic and delicious. It's very busy and packed in this restaurant, and quite loud too. But that's normal for us when we go to Chinese restaurants. :) If you want a quiet place to eat, you may feel overwhelmed with the bustling atmosphere here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

The food is always great. The Dim Sum is always the best. We drive 100 plus miles to enjoy it. It is always a buzz with the servers racing around with their carts full of food. All the customers are just chatting away at the tables, not looking at their cell phones, and having real interaction. We've been going there for at least 15 years. We will be going back. Extremely high quality and authentic and classic dimsum. They have the classic dimsum on a cart experience and all the classic dishes made very well. Would recommend the mango pudding as a lesser known dish of theirs that is really good. Only complaint is that the radish cakes have not enough radish; they should have large radish chunks. The soup dumplings leave something to be desired too; there are better soup dumplings right next door at long Xing ji. It is best to come early if you’re coming at brunch on the weekends; the queue can get really long especially for smaller parties.

I brought my dad here to celebrate his birthday, and they had a $5.99/lb lobster special! The lobster was on the smaller side, but there was plenty of meat. They give you 3 lbs. We also ordered roast duck, fried rice, and soup. The restaurant itself is a little bit old, and you can see its age by looking at the floors, walls, and furniture. However, it was pretty clean when I visited. Our server, on the other hand, was pretty rude. But he was just a bad apple because everybody else was nice. Good authentic dim sum restaurant often very busy especially on the weekends. Food standard fare and tea charge is $2 per person. Quick service. Went here for a Lunar NY dinner with my housemates. There were countless people waiting in line filling all the space from the elevator to the entrance! After some time of waiting we got in. It’s crazily busy inside! I’d say the service is super quick given the amount of people in the restaurant. The overall wait time was about 1hr before we started eating. The food was amazing!! My Guangdong friends said that it’s real Guangdong food. They’re very delicious to an Asian like me. For just food themselves: straight 5 stars. Cleanliness was not the best. The restroom was a complete mess. But maybe that’s expected from the amount of people on Lunar NY. It looked to me like they haven’t cleaned it for the entire night. Everything we ordered was about $80+. The crab was very nice so I can’t say that it’s expensive. Actually one of the soup ran out so we only got 4 dishes and a pot of rice. Food was really great! We came here at 9am on Christmas Day. A lot of ppl were seated already! Come early if you don’t want to wait. It took us around 20 min to wait for the dim sum cart to come. If you are lucky, you might not need to wait. Restroom smells terrible due to the bleach! That was disgusting for me! It is kinda cheap in my opinion. Similar places like this in other states cost more than here. Hard to communicate, even we can speak Mandarin and English…. Most of them only speak Cantonese. If you don’t care the service and just want to enjoy the food with reasonable price. You definitely need to try this! Came here for Dim Sum on the Friday before Christmas weekend and it was busy. We didn’t have to wait for a table but I’d say the restaurant was 90% full. The dim sum is pretty good. Definitely a solid option if you’re interested in that. The regular dishes were also good. I didn’t get to try everything I wanted to in terms of Dim Sum plates so I’ll be back.
