Over the past few months the prices have been going up and the food portions have been significantly going down. I can hear the white knights galloping to defend this as "It's everywhere." However, when minimum wage kids are running the store, and the interior looks like a happy birthday episode from The Office the excuses really die. Additionally the food quality has been extremely hit or miss. I ordered soup from here on multiple occasions and it's a literal 50/50 if it's scorched. I hang the menu up from this place as it's obvious they no longer stand above the other 200 restaurants in the Goldsboro area, and their business is bountiful enough to no longer need quality, quantity, nor quaintness to operate. If you place a to-go order, be sure to check back regularly while waiting. The likelihood that they actually call your name when your food is ready seems to be zero. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and not hound them about my food but they never called my name. Food was sitting behind the counter already room temp/cold when I finally asked about it. Ordered to go. As my coworker got there to pick it up they stated that they had given our food to someone else. When asked if there was anything that they could do to remedy it (discount/app/anything) they laughed. Could've just been polite and said no. Okay so I have been here a few times and it's been disappointing every time. The food is under seasoned to the point tasting like the bowl itself. The atmosphere says cheap but the price is expensive. It's very dark inside the restaurant the tables and chairs are cheap. Food is good. Atmosphere is nice, but maybe needs a bit more cleaning. Most of the tables had not been wiped down. Every great restaurant has people in the front who make customers feel welcome. They may want to work on this.

Listen, the lady that manages the front is awesome. Everything I go in there she is highly professional. And the cook with the afro is one of a kind. I work behind the restaurant and I call them and place my order. My food is fresh, hot and banging. My lady, shows me my food before she bags it and all. I definitely recommend that you go there.
