This restaurant is all about the setting. We sat by a window, eating nice food and drinking decent wine with the sea lapping below us. The service was efficient and friendly. Theres a decent selection on the menu although it’s definitely a fish restaurant. Our only complaint was that they sold us a dream of an amazing piece of fish for three, and it was probably only just enough for two in reality. That said - the food was beautifully prepared and presented. I played safe and had soup for a starter, and regretted it. Nothing wrong with the soup but the prawns looked amazing and my friends didn’t try to dissuade me that i should have been more adventurous. lovely portuguese restaurant on the beach of olhos d’agua. from the parking area you will need to descend a long flight of stairs to get to the restaurant so it is not stroller or wheelchair accessible. we made lunch reservations and got a fantastic table on the deck. the little ones enjoyed watching the seagulls and people on the beach, and the sound of the waves created a beautiful ambience for our dining experience. our server was friendly and efficient. food is good but not spectacular, the grilled swordfish being our favorite. hard to beat the location though, perfect spot to enjoy a refreshing glass of vinho branco or caneca! There are just a few restaurants in the world literally over the ocean! And this is one of those! After a long stair down the hill, you are over the waves on a very small sandy beach where you'll find the Pássaro Azul restaurant, with a terrace over the waves. It's simply beautiful. Where you're sitten, you'll find a very good menu with typical grilled Portuguese meats as well as delicious grilled fresh fish, although is really high priced. Please enjoy as much as I did!!!! It's a must visit place when you're in Algarve, just a few minutes driving from the Golden Triangle. Parking @ the top of the steps to the restaurant is a premium. We went @4pm 16:00 for a late lunch, all the employees were just sitting down for their lunch & rest. They were quite gracious welcoming us and the waiter with the joker smile was very attentive & full of smiles. 6 oysters various sizes were delicious. The fish soup had big chunks of fresh fish- a pinch oily but delicious. We shared a golden bream that was a nice size- they did not show us but we could have gotten up to see @ the fish counter. Cooked on a charcoal grill perfectly. Lovely garlic potatoes & a simple green salad. Marlene is an excellent server & very knowledgeable about the menu. The location is key! Following the small signs along the road, saying “Restaurant Passaro Azul- open” saved our night! From the tourist nightmare in central Albufeira to this little gem at the beach was really mesmerizing! Was seated outside due to a bigger private party inside- so we just had the most beautiful view over the beach. The food was authentic sea bass that tasted amazing- and finally but not least- all the waiters was attentive all the time, we simply had a perfect evening. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Lovely friendly staff who are so helpful with food choices especially Fernando who went above and beyond. Food was lovely but the real gem is the location. First meal out in Olhos de Agua and it set the tone for the gastro delightfulness. I had the swordfish which had the most amazing cracked skin, cooked in a BBQ pit of sorts. Fresh from the ocean, the setting enhanced the flavour. Beautiful views and an amazing waiter who was friendly and chatty. The swordfish was succulent as the waiter recommended to have it lightly seared. The garlic potatos were amazing, I just wish there were more of them.
