The reviews don’t do this restaurant justice - if you’re considering eating here, please take this as your sign and do so! We had calamaris to start then moved on the real stars of the evening: seafood pasta and fried octopus, both were divine. The chef/owner walked around to check on us as well, which was a treat. On top of that, hospitality at the restaurant was incredible. Best seafood on the island - don’t miss out! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This restaurant was simply amazing. I had the littleneck clams "pescador" style for my appetizer. It was delicious. It had pieces of bacon in an incredible wine sauce. Very unique flavor. For my main course I had the tuna steak. It was topped with a tropical sauce. The sauce was perfect with a taste of cilantro mixed with the tropical flavors. I didn't catch the name of the dessert. The best I can describe it is a creamy, cheese cake-ish flavored with coconut-lime and fresh zest of lime. Again, very unique flavor. I savored every bite. The fish here is really fresh and delicious, if you ask for the catch of the day you can even choose your fish, and the waiters will explain you the best ways to cook it. Staff is warming and nice, the place is cozy and marine-themed. The only downside for us was the waiting time of the dishes, but other than that, an amazing choice for fish lovers. Don’t be thrown off by the exterior and location. The interior is typical European and the interior establishment is clean. The food was great. The white wine was well chilled and went down great with the fried fish that came out in a large plate made for two but would feed three to four. Served on the side was sweet yams, Portuguese yams and white potatoes. We will absolutely be returning. Our waitress spoke perfect english and helped out with the exact fish we wanted. A must go to if you are a seafood lover. One again don’t be discouraged with the exterior and location. Price wise we had an $18 bottle of wine though there’s plenty of less expensive wines. We recommend the limpet appetizer. We also had espressos. The bill was $72 euros. Under new mangement recently. Met the new owners and staff, we had an amazing meal. Octopus was fresh and cooked perfectly (not chewy one bit), tuna steak so fresh with tropical sauce and cooked to perfection. Calamari was lightly battered and again fresh and delicious. We also tried the coconut desert in a half coccunt which was lovely!! Definitely will be going back and recommending to everyone!!! Thank you for a wonderful dinner!!! We are a group of 7 on holiday. We spent 4 days on Sao Miguel. We all agreed, that O Pescador was the best dinner experience for us! Fresh fish, polite service - especially by Ms. Patricia Silva! We dined here tonight and our server was very friendly with excellent recommendations. The little neck clams, blue mouth rock fish and red bean pudding were all excellent. Finished off with a smooth lemon liquor made by the grandfather of our server. We highly recommend!
