This grocery store is known as the oldest grocery store in California!
I stopped by this spot and bought some crackers, truffle cheese, and prosciutto to bring to a wine tasting. If you come here, you have to get the Cremeux des Citeaux truffle cheese! This truffle cheese was by far my favorite truffle cheese I've ever tried! The texture is like Brie’s cheese. Cracker, truffle cheese, and prosciutto was such a perfect combo. I definitely have to come back here to buy that same cheese! The prosciutto was also very fresh. The grocery has a meat section where you can tell the worker how much prosciutto, salami, etc., that you want and they will cut it and pack it up for you. They also sell freshly made sandwiches to go here and have a lot of wine selections to choose from. I will definitely be back, especially for that truffle cheese!
I ordered the margherita pizza and it was so good! They somehow missed my order number so I ended up waiting way longer for my order than I should have, but the weather was so nice that I didn’t mind sitting outside drinking my beverage enjoying the views. To make up for me waiting for my pizza they gave me a gift card to their store without me even asking for anything so it’s still 5 stars!
We went to oakville 3x we loved it so much. We went to wine merchant that is located next door where you can taste half and full glasses of all kinds of wines across the region. We got salad and sandwiches to go for a picnic at a winery one day. And we stopped by for pastries and souvenirs! Highly recommend.
I've never been to a winery that let's you pick a "taste"(1oz.), "half" (2oz.)or "Full" (4.5oz.) glasses of a ton of gorgeous wines!
Wide selection is reds and whites and everything in between.
Beautiful spots to sit at and enjoy food and wine.

Picked up lunch on our way to the wineries and it was absolutely perfect. Had the smoked salmon chèvre sandwich and fried chicken sandwich. First was filled with delicious smoked salmon and fresh arugula. Latter was crispy, moist, and peppery. Both were on an artisan bread which was crunchy and soft. Highly recommend!
The is a place to go it you want to try Local wines without making appointments or pressures! Very relaxed environment, where you could pay by glass of tastings for 65 different selected local wines, grouped by regions and grab some foods to nibble at the grocery stores and sit in the garden. Totally no pressure! 🥰
Unexpectedly great little spot that was recommended to us by our driver when we had some down time between wine tastings. We stopped at Oakville Grocery and immediately went to their wine tasting room. We had never seen a spot like this where they had wine set up like a self service soda fountain! You swipe your credit card at the desk and they give you a wine glass and a card and that you use in their wine dispensing machines. It was so convenient and fun. We got to try many different wines and felt the price was fair. The room itself is beautifully decorated with nods to Napa's history. They seem to be super busy over on the food side and the parking lot was packed, but our driver did stop in for a sandwich and said that it was delicious. If you have some spare time during your adventures you should definitely try stopping into Oakville for a bite and a glass of wine.

Food: the sandwiches and salads were great. We had the Oakville signature salad and hot chicken sandwich and would recommend both. They make all their food to order behind the deli counter. It's also reasonably priced, but they get you with some of the other items throughout the store.
Ambiance: there's plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas to help keep it cool.
They are keeping things safe with COVID and limiting the number of guests inside at the same time. They also require masks to go indoors.
