As we were passing through Presidio, we chose to have lunch at Oasis because, at the time, the Google rating was 4.6. Our hopes were high but they were soon dashed. My husband ordered the Chicken Fried Steak which was overcooked and smothered in lumpy gravy. Against my husband’s advice, I ordered the salmon as the menu was rather sophisticated. I’ve never had salmon jerky before! It wasn’t even worth sending back. One and done for us! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

So I ordered a tampiqueña thinking i was going to get a juicy steak and good amount of rice and beans definitely not that. I was given a very small scoop of rice and beans. No tortillas and the steak was a pork steak which was smaller than the palm of my hand. If I would of known this was what i was going to get served I would rather of cooked at home or heated up a ramen cup. Seasoning of steak was super bland. The beans and rice were pretty good but like i said barely any portion. 0/5 I would not recommend at all. The horchata was the best thing in there. Food was great. I had beef tacos my wife had chicken enchiladas. Both very good. Green sauce is hot. Wait time was a little long but the food was worth it. Pleasant atmosphere. Worth going to again if I am in Presidio Texas. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

This was rated highly by locals and tourists so we stopped on the way to Big Bend Ranch SP. Pretty dining room, friendly service, and great food. Chicken quesidilla was wonderful (although I had to take half home) and the combo plate was very authentic and tasty. Heartily recommend the Oasis restaurant!

I did not get pictures of the food.... but I can assure all food was good, I ordered a taco plate for my 4&6 year old to share, (I always do that) plate was good size they said tacos were good, chalupas, flautas, steak finger dinner plate & ribeye was ordered all, plates were presented lOoking good, and tasted the same all plates were finished minus the one taco left & 1 flauta due to being full WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOOD MEXICAN & AMERICAN FOOD would most definitely return, one downfall they had no kids menu & they did take a while to bring out food but when it did come it all was hot & worth the wait!
