Steak and kidney pie was jam packed with big, tender chunks of steak and lots of kidney. Hardly any room left for the tasty gravy. Coffee is pretty good as well 😄. A nice traditional cafe. Bought pancakes with bacon. Was spam as tough as leather not bacon. Coffee average. Bacon and egg pie was not bacon either although pastry and cooking was fine. Toilets dirty. This was a surprise. Clean, roomy, and most important, great coffee. And as a bonus, the chips here are fantastic. This is a great place to stop if you need to stretch your legs, and is obviously popular with locals.

Usually a great place with wonderful customer service nice coffee but my only gripe is they never have fish,so may as well take that fish meal off your menu. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Excellent coffee! Rocky road and lemon meringue pie also tasty. Well worth a stop if you are passing through.

Called in on way up to Tutukaka on Waitaingi Day with family. First impressions very spacious cafe with a large selection of honest kiwi food.gorgeous pies and pastyies, sandwiches and filled rolls and of course cakes and cookies as well. They also had an extensive menu which we only glanced at as we were mainly in for coffee and a quick snack.the coffee was delicious as was the large milkshake and the lady owner who served was very friendly and genuine. My husband and I went there for the first time the other day. The Pies were amazing, the pastry was so good and very generous filling in the Pies. Leanne who served us, was very friendly and polite. We enjoyed our lunch very much. Will definitely be back again
