Marvelous restaurant next to the sea.
Lovely place for families on a Sunday afternoon in February. The kitchen is open all afternoon so great when you're running a couple of hours behind.
The decking area has about 15 tables, and about 15 inside.
Has WiFi.
Easy to park in the car park outside.
Really nice place, awesome service, nice ambiance, good pricing, okay food selection, good drinks, awesome parking, and overall great experience. Totally recommend it ! Staff is friendly but saw a really nasty way of management speaking with more than one person... this shouldn't happen at all :(
The waiter forgot about our sides because he did not take any notes. One of the ordered beverages never came. They were also confused when we asked about cutlery. The waiters also were not friendly in general and very clumsy (bread ended up on a handbag, the sandwich fell apart when served,...).

We visited in March when there was no crowd. The food and service were excellent, and parking was just outside. So was the beach and a lovely promenade.
You have to request to see a menu as it’s the same menu as 80% of all dining places in Portugal, so you should know what you want when you sit down. One menu was to share when we are two people. Same uninteresting unhealthy options. Not a single vegetarian option other than cheese with bread. Sewage being pumped out during service was not great. All our plates arrived to the table at different times, it was a game to guess what might arrive next so the kitchen is not able to do a la carte. No direct ocean view so felt the pricing to quality and dining experience did not match for Portugal but I do also understand running this sort of business in this country.
Our server was refreshingly friendly but not sufficiently trained. The food was all out of the freezer or a processed packet. Not a home made quality experience but a white processed bread sort of place. The parking was handy but you’ll find 25 identical underwhelming experiences in less than 1km on this cost road.
I recently visited Ondas Sobre O Mar, and I wish I could say the experience was a culinary delight. However, the restaurant left me with a lingering sense of disappointment and utter disgust. The overcooked shrimp we were served resembled rubbery, flavorless blobs drenched in a pool of oil, with each bite making me question my decision to dine here.
The deep-fried cod was evidently sourced from frozen, its texture lifeless and soggy. It was as if the chef had never heard of the term "fresh seafood" before. The tasteless main course of cod and potatoes only exacerbated the situation. It seemed like the chef had forgotten to use any herbs, spices, or seasoning, making the dish as bland as a piece of cardboard.
In summary, Ondas Sobre O Mar is a prime example of a restaurant that serves poor quality seafood, devoid of any creativity or flavor. I urge anyone considering dining here to look elsewhere for a satisfying seafood experience
It used to be a decent coffee place but now it's just a decadent beach bar. Terrible service, waited maybe 30 minutes to be noticed and another half an hour to get a cheese and ham toast and some bottled drink. Seriously...
