Good choice for a more upscale dinner in Sheridan. I had the shrimp and scallops special, it was delicious and exceeded my expectations. The GM, is a young gal with big aspirations. She has a great staff and they are doing their best to provide an exceptional experience. This is my top pick in Sheridan for a special occasion dinner. Staying at the hotel and I got in late so I decided to eat here. It’s not a bargain and everything is ala carte with sides at around $10. I had the “Bugle Pie” which was basically a meat pie with Elk and Oysters. It was excellent. The pastry on top was flaky and delicious. I was seated and served quickly. The cocktail menu felt more New Orleans than Wyoming, but the French 75 was perfect. Total tab for entree only and one cocktail was $44 plus tip. Food was absolutely top notch. Service was prompt and courteous, but not hovering. Didn’t have dessert and I really regret that decision. my feonce and I recently dined for valentine's day, and our 1st time dining at the bar and grill.. we were very impressed with all the employees and staff!! very generous, helpful and thoughtful!! We had a fabulous meal with excellent service from Jessica. Started with lovely bar service, moving to a nice both to enjoy bison NY steaks, salads and sides. We loved everything! We had a true dining experience last night for our party of eight. The food was perfection along with a very attentive server named Callie. Our group sampled several appetizers, had various entrees & followed up with exquisite desserts. The manager, Sarah came around to make sure everything was just right. We love the Historic Sheridan with their amazing Buffalo Bill Bar & Open Range Dining Room. We highly recommend Open Range at the Sheridan Inn.

Had the short ribs, so tender and tasty! The loaded baked potato was creamy and a fun addition to an already great meal. The roasted asparagus had the perfect texture and seasoning. The hamburger had a wild Wyoming way about the meat; paired with the fries it was a cut above. Nice, gracious and attentive staff, kudos to you all! Food was amazing... Buffalo short ribs were spectacular! Service was superlative at every level. Made us feel that they were glad we were there.
