I must strongly caution against dining at ORIGENES. My experience was a nightmare with severe FOOD POISONING from their Aztec soup, leaving me really unwell the entire night. Slow service, repeated requests, and high prices only added to the regret. The Totopos and sauces were the only saving grace. Approach with extreme caution, especially regarding the Aztec soup.

wow what a find! a beautiful garden area tucked away off of a busy street. the food was fantastic! so much flavor packed into one dish. the staff was excellent as well, kind and courteous. this was a great surprise on our overnight layover in león

Overall is not that bad. But a small chicken tight for $225 is very expensive. I'd gladly paid for it if it was that good. This place is overrated. Regular service. Regular atmosphere. I'd would have spent the same in another much better restaurant.

Ohhh my, 4 years coming to León and no one told me this Mole was here. Super good excellent jalapeños! Tacos were awesome as well.

We ordered three dishes and food was just ok. The mole with pork was served cold and we had to ask to be warmed up. The other two dishes were mildly warm.
We had high hopes because of all the good reviews but maybe we just didn’t order the right dish or at the right time.
Service was okay as well.

The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was beautiful and garden-like, but the real standout was the incredibly friendly and accommodating waiter and manager!
