I just had the best first-time experience here at Ovenbird Bakery! I met who I believe were the two owners and they were fantastic. Great service, they explained everything on the menu and showed the many options for food. They were the sweetest to be around, too. Love this place! Definitely going to be a consistent lunch spot :) You have to try their Cheddar & Roasted Cauliflower Soup!! Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great local bakery with good prices. I come here often to get quiche or a Danish for a quick breakfast. The first time in, Tony helped us out and went over everything. He was so nice and magnified that small town experience that is so welcomed. Highly recommend.

I've yet to get something I don't like from Ovenbird. Sometimes I even get stuff off the discounted "Day old" table and its still just as good. I've gotten a lot of different kinds of pastries from them, as well as some sandwiches and quiches, it never fails to impress. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

What is better than the smell of freshly baked bread? Well, eating delicious pastries while smelling freshly baked bread. This is a cozy little place wih great breakfast and pastry items. Quiche was divine, as well as the flaky crusted pastries. Hot, fresh bread for sale daily. You will be sure to find something you love here.

OUTSTANDING! If you are gluten free and looking for a special occasion cake or coffee cake this is your place. I have tried other bakeries in Salem who’s GF cakes were dry and over priced. Oven Bird is priced well and the cake is the most moist cake I have ever had, even better than regular flour. This is definitely my new place, plus they are super friendly people. Thank you so much for my wonderful birthday cake, next I will order the sandwich rolls! 1/22/22…Updated, I tried the gluten free rolls! Wow, I love the texture so chewy, soft and moist. We LOVE this bakery in historical downtown Independence!!! ❤ it serves GREAT everything !!! Delicious and healthy! This is my Go-to for special dietary needs and "important pot-lucks!" The fresh fruit cobblers are the best! EVERYBODY loves them!!! The quiche is impressive! And the customer service is tops! 105 star business! Thank you, Katie!!!

I ordered a gluten free carrot cake last minute on Friday for my wife's birthday party! They were able to make the cake on time for the party yesterday! Beautiful cake and it was one of the best gluten free carrot cakes we've ever had! Thank you Ovenbird! The best gluten free bakery goods right here in Independence Oregon! We'll be back for more!!

We had Ovenbird Bakery make and delivery the cakes for our wedding, 150+ppl. Pink champagne cake with marionberry jam and vanilla buttercream frosting. Chocolate cake with vanilla pastry cream filling and vanilla buttercream frosting. Chocolate cake with raspberry filling and vanilla buttercream frosting. They tasted amazing, look beautiful, and were delivered on time. It was a pleasure working with Ovenbird and I look forward to trying more of their baked goods.
