Smack in the center of the old town, so excellent location. The beer and Aperol were nice but the fish varied - loved the grilled trout but the piked perch (Zander on the menu) was soggy. The kids liked the fries & the giant 3-scoop ice-cream. Americano & espresso are excellent. The place is child& pet friendly. Good value for money - but a bit of a lottery with food quality. Great restaurant. Since the town is touristic I didn’t have a lot of expectations about restaurants , but this place was a really great surprise. Price are reasonable. Count 13euros for pork shaslyk. Big portion with 2 skewers of meat. Pork was tasty and really nicely cooked. It comes with salad, sauce and rice or you could choose potatoes instead. The service was pretty quick. A place where you can enjoy delicious food at a reasonable price with friendly service. In particular, it will make people very happy if they are very hungry (American size service portion)

Grey peas with smoked meat and groats with bacon were delicious, such a great comfort food. We also had the soup of groats and sour milk - maybe I read the menu wrong but I did not expect it to be ice cold. It was just, not much flavor, not even sour. I would say it was an interesting experience. The “whats happening in Latvia” dish was okay but there were no pickles (they were supposed to be part of the dish according to the menu) and the peeled raw apple slices in mayo were just weird. Herring and the egg salad were good. Would really recommend the cider from the sparkling wine section of the menu - the best cider we’ve ever had? Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

very interesting and beautiful restaurant...has two environments, internal and external. inside, it looks like a cave, with separate tables in rooms. The bar has a good variety of drinks. The food is very tasty, a variety of dishes, chicken, pork, fish...the service is good, they are attentive and kind. the environment is clean, a little dark inside. in the extra part it is very pleasant, with a place on a deck over a river. the value is compatible with the level of the set...dinner for two, without exaggeration, average 30€. I recommend it, and it's worth the visit! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Very nice place. We sat outside. The river runs underneath the terrave, which is very beautiful. Unfortunately not too many vegetarian options, but if you do fish, this restaurant is highly recommended. We went for troud and salmon. Both very tasty. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

I liked the place. Paid 3eur for a good 0.5L of beer, 7.80eur for a vegetarian burger. Burger was also good! I put 5 stars because of that - they had some vegetarian options which were decent. The spot is also pretty good - it's located over the small "Aleksupite" because of which Kuldiga is called the Little Venice. I suggest to sit outside, the inside of the place is dark (that's why its called "the basement")
