There's nothing better than Mexican sweet bread from Mexico. When we saw the line of 20 locals, we knew we hit gold and that was at 3pm. Everyone knows the likelihood of finding bread this late in the day is almost 0, but bakers here keep churning large trays of baked goods well into the afternoon. They have birotes, a type of sourdough roll used for sandwiches or for dipping into a mug of cocoa. And of course they have a variety of sweet rolls, turnovers filled with either apples, dulce de leche, camote, guayaba, pineapple, or chocolate, pastries and cookies. Surprise! They even have donuts. The line moved quickly and soon we were munching on delectable goodies. This bakery was recommended to us by a local.
