Dropped in for an espresso & a bite to eat. Very pleasantly surprised at the high quality coffee, & great pies.

Where else would you go to get out of the rain on a wet, wild and windy day in Whangarei but The Pantry Cafe at 50 Kioreroa Road, Port Whangarei. A nice cozy oasis with an assortment of hot or cold, sweet or savoury tempting morsels. Washed down with a large and wonderfully hot Mocha.

We arrived just on closing time, but despite this we were welcomed and served with a smile. Even though it was the end of the day, the bit of food that remained was of impressive quality and variety - something for everyone. The cafe was spotlessly clean, the owners friendly and the lime thickshake was probably the best I've ever had. Will be returning!

Not nice at all. We ordered the big breakfast. Toast is just bread put on the hotplate. Eggs come fried - seems there's no choice. We ordered extra mushrooms and bacon but servings were so small we were glad we didn't get just the normal serving amount. Took a long time to come out as well. Not happy - won't be returning.

Yummy fresh and always on point with their kai food!! My favorite is ham, cheese, tomato and onion toasty!!! Pop in and have a try!!!!
