my favorite boba place!! i consider myself a boba connoisseur and pearl tea is always my go to in the iowa/minnesota area. the milk teas are delicious! i can taste the true tea flavor, lessen the sweetness, and it is dairy free so i absolutely love them. their boba has always been perfect consistency as well. the fruit teas are very good too. they have lots of topping options and they have smoothies and shakes too.

A boba teahouse with a cute mascot! Wouldn't have thought I'd find a decent boba place in Cedar Falls. Ordered the milk tea with honey pearls. Boba consistency was good and the milk tea flavor was similar to other chains back home. Would come back to try other flavors.

Customizable Boba tea. There are many options to choose from. You can choose the type of tea, flavor, and the boba type. There are fruit teas, milk teas, and smoothies. With the wide variety of choices there is something for everyone. I have been to many boba tea shops throughout iowa, but nothing compares.
My go to is the pear tea signature milk tea. This drink comes with the made fresh everyday honey Tampico pearls.
If you like boba tea, Pearl tea is the best place in Iowa.

I used to love this place. I was here at least twice a week. But since the pandemic, it seems to have gone down hill. The pearl tea is still good and the options are great. But it is not the same cute spot that I used to bring people to. The atmosphere was adorable and fun, with swings, a live wall, and a unique and creative graffiti post-it wall. It was always so clean. Now half of the shop is used for storage - there are boxes everywhere, the swings are gone, and there are dead bugs in the corners. The windows look like they haven’t been cleaned in years and the counter is dusty and sticky. The walls could use a coat of paint. It looks neglected and sad. I’m sorry to say this, but it seems like the owners no longer cares for this place and don’t even care if we know that. I mean, what other business keeps they supplies in the customer areas??? It’s just awful and I no longer want to show it off. I hope it gets better, but I certainly am not visiting now as much as I was. And I would never send someone there.
My 8 relatives and I tried their boba tea and we were pleasantly surprised by the quickly service and post it covered communal wall. I tried the matcha crème brûlée, it was good. I wish pudding was offered as a topping. I would recommend a visit and return!
