Since 2024 there is a new Management for this place!!! Dan is running the restaurant now, who I met previously and can just say with him running the place there will not be any scamming about sunbeds. He is just a very welcoming good hearted person, which is happy when his guests are happy. So don't judge the place on reviews previous2024 and give it a chance Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I am shocked seeing so low mark of this place. Perfect place to rest on Goyambokka beach, great atmosphere, super friendly staff and delicious food (I had the best grilled prawns in whole Sri Lanka here!). 10% service charge is standard in the country, so I don't understand making the fuss in the comments. For sure will come back here!

Looks romantic, but dissappointing We ordered rockfish. It was fresh and looked good, but unfortunately the taste wasn’t so good, a hint of something chemical. When we told one of the waiter, he made fun of us. The beach in dark ambiance looked really nice, but the fires where made with petroleum or gasoline, so while eating we were sitting in the gasfumes.

Worst place and service in 3 weeks Sri Lanka! Asked for a mixed vegetables sandwich, they said it's with fries. It's not. Misunderstandings can happen, that's NOT why I rate it so bad. For 550lkr, the mixed vegetable sandwich was maybe 1 tomato - that's it. I told the guys it's way too expensive for that and not good at all, still billed the whole price. Also, the milk for the coffee was somehow disgustung, also first time on the trip that we didn't drink it. Still paid, nobody cared... Give your hard earned money to one of the other places to get some value for it.

Avoid this place! We drank 2 cocktails 2400 rs. We paid with 5000 rs but never got our change back. 2 times the owner (fat guy with a scar in his face) said he would pay us back the day after, but both times he did not show up. His staff was friendly, said sorry and tried to cover for him by providing some food. Santa was a chill guy. Again don't do business with the owner! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

At first they told us the sunbeds are free if we order drinks. We've ordered drinks, and later they told us we should pay for sunbeds since we didn't offer food. Cheaters! 👎👎👎 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We ended up here by accident and saw the negative reviews afterwards. I guess they changed the chef, because the food was good and there was a really nice atmosphere. The owner was very friendly and was very helpful

Horrible!!! DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! We were told the beach beds are free and had some drinks there! In the end all the staff got drunk at 2pm and charget is 2000/= for the beds... Totals scammers saying we did not spend enough! And the Lime juice was warm... I don't mind paying for a beach bed but telling me is free and then charging is unacceptable!

DON'T VISIT!! They tell you the sun beds are free and then charge 1000 rs when you leave. Also the "boss" came over and asked if there was a problem while I contested the charge. He was trying to be intimidating but it definitely didnt work. The "boss" is a money grabbing bully do not use the sunbeds! We had a few drinks each and they still charged. As you will see from other reviews this is not the first time this has happened. If they had told us the charge when we arrived it would have been ok, it was the bully and sneaky tactics they used that made this place awful.

To be avoided! Giving one star just because you cant’t give zero. The fish was awful ( undercooked with a tone of salt ) fortunatelly there was a hungry family of dogs which helped us eat it…Moreover the Owner/ Manager was very rude.
