Sicilian was soggy. The eggplant parm sandwich lacked flavor and tasted off. The mozzarella sticks were good but the sauce served on the side was very watery and lack luster. The salad was… a salad. Overall we spent $35 on food that went straight to the dogs after a few bites. Such a shame. We were hopeful after reading all the great reviews but sadly we’re just left hungry and disappointed. Mr. Piero makes the best sauce and dough in Wayne County; no cheap canned sauce or tastless dough. This is the place to go if you like a real homemade Pizza baked in a real Pizza Oven. This was our first time visiting Piero's but it certainly won't be our last. I know it sounds weird walking into a pizza place and ordering a burger and fries but that's what I was in the mood for and it did not disappoint. The french fries were nice and crispy as well as flavorful and my burger arrived on a fresh kaiser roll. My husband very much enjoyed their white pizza and jalapeno poppers. I was quite intrigued by the paintings which were done on many of their drop-ceiling tiles. So much so that I photographed many of them as I walked around enjoying them. At the end of our meal my husband and I engaged in a very pleasant conversation with Mr. Piero reminiscing about Italy and enjoying small talk. I also inquired about the paintings on the tiles and he said many were done by former employees as well as college and high school students! They were absolutely works of art. I cannot omit mentioning his young male employee who was friendly and courteous. We'll definitely return.

I hope gotten pizza here quite a few times with only once being less than average. I have read the reviews and don’t understand why the one said that it was strange that a eat in restaurant doesn’t have bathrooms. It is not a eat in restaurant just a walk in for your phoned in order pizza shop that has a table or two to sit down and wait for your food to be ready or if you happen to walk in and order.
