I recently visited Pioneer Market, and overall, it provided a decent shopping experience. One standout feature was their offering of Girl Scout yogurt, which added a unique and enjoyable touch to the dairy section. However, there were some aspects of the market that could be improved. The layout of the store felt a bit cluttered and disorganized, making it challenging to navigate through the aisles efficiently. Additionally, some areas seemed to lack variety in product selection, which may disappoint customers looking for a broader range of options. On the positive side, the staff at Pioneer Market were friendly and helpful, which contributed to a pleasant shopping atmosphere. The prices were also reasonable, making it a convenient option for everyday grocery needs. In conclusion, while Pioneer Market has its strengths, such as offering Girl Scout yogurt and providing friendly service, there are areas where it could enhance the overall shopping experience, particularly in terms of organization and product variety. Nonetheless, it remains a viable option for local grocery needs.
Love the checkers but hate the store! Very, very unfortunate it is the ONLY grocery store so it has a monopoly. I own a home here and I strongly feel the people that live here, pay taxes here, deserve a modern, clean grocery store. The vents in at the yogurt section are caked with dust! I'm sick of people saying we don't have enough people? Enough people to remodel the local store? We deserve better! Half the time the bakery is closed! The Deli closes early too! We have over 1,000 airbnb houses alone who all pay property taxes. Why let one person monopolize a grocery store! Clean it up, remodel it! Ot sure was remodeled outside to put in Tesla charging stations! Work on the inside! I shoukd not have to drive to Oakhurst! I don't want to drive to Oakhurst to shop! I'm sick of people having so low standards for themselves in BASIC amentities of groceries! Again, the workers are very friendly, because mountain people are down to earth! We have a little health food store that is modern! It's too small, and very expensive! I've gotten food poison likely due to low refrigeration of food. Forget about organic or grass fed meats, they are almost never available. If another store was put in, people would instantly flock to it! Mariposa is different now. The new owners have relocated from the Bay Area and we know what it's like to have a clean and updated grocery store! Mariposa can do better! The stars are for the staff! Not the store!

It was very well stocked. Best one around the area. Good spot to hit before Yosemite!

My wife and I went into the store and we thought it would be nice to get a deli sandwich. When my wife inquired if they had any gluten-free bread, the person behind the counter laughed and said, gluten-free bread.??? I don’t know nothing about that we ain’t got nothing like that back here She shook her head at us and acted like we were idiots for asking I asked her if we could purchase a loaf from the store and bring it to her and she could make a sandwich. She made another funny noise and said I guess so. So that’s what we did. We then proceeded to wait almost 30 minutes for our two sandwiches to be made. And we had to ask for the rest of our loaf back. I’ve never been made to feel more unwelcome at a delicatessen before. Would it kill the store to have one freaking loaf of gluten-free bread behind the counter?

Great local market! They've got all the basics: good produce section, deli, wine and liquor, touristy gifts, cards, some basic pet supplies & food, pharmacy, coffee, bakery, restrooms, frozen goods, decent parking & accessibility, Tesla charging, multiple lines open at one time which is always nice when you're in a hurry... overall a really great local market and I would only change one thing if I could which would be prices . . . Of course I understand supply and demand and that in small towns on the way to National Parks you have to keep the prices high for tourists and to support the local economy, BUT it would be really nice if the locals could get at least a 20% discount on food items, because it does get pricey for the folks that can't make it out of town often to do their big grocery shopping. With that one change, I would give Pioneer a definite five star rating!

Can you guys teach your sandwich people how to heat a sandwich? I circle “yes” on the HOT section of the form. Put arrows pointing to it. And somehow, every time without fail, your apparently illiterate sandwich makers behind the counter give me an ice cold sandwich. What exactly is the deal? Please retrain them on how to read a form. It’s not that difficult to look at the form, see “Yes” circled under HOT, and heat the sandwich.

Home town feel. Service from friendly people you see everyday and or have known your whole life. Good prices on food even compared to the big city stores. Always clean, always smells good. Always more cashiers working than any other store.

Good sized store. Not too busy. Plenty of tills open so not long to wait. Staff nice & chatty. Plenty of car parking. No shortages of tomatoes and fruit & veg like there is back home in England (thanks to Brexit & Boris and his cronies 🤨). Good range of products, including bread.

They don't put everything in your grocery bag at the check out stand. Things can and could get left get left behind. You put your trust in them to put everything in your bag and when they don't you leave the store without all of your things. My guess is they put it back on the shelf and sell it again.
