Update Jan 10 2024. Stopped for lunch. I had the Philly Steak Pita with the house Mediterranean side salad and my wife had the Portobello mushroom burger. Exceptionally satisfying. Outstanding service. They do need to turn down the volume on the background music however. I mean, why so loud? People want to talk while they eat. UPDATE MAR 25 2023. Stopped in for lunch. STILL a solid 5 stars. I had the turkey pesto wrap with side Greek salad and my wife had the Portobello burger smothered in a huge roasted red bell pepper. Our portions were HUGE and we had to take half home as we could not eat so much food in one sitting. Outstanding service. Great prices. Another great experience. UPDATE APR 28 2022. Ordered take out. My wife had the wood-fired Norwegian Salmon served with garlic-herb smashed potatoes and wilted spinach and I had the Philly Steak pita prepared with savory roasted mushrooms, onions and bell pepper. Both items were a hit. I've seen other reviews on the salmon dish that weren't good but we are particular about food, especially seafood and this dish deserves 5 stars, as did my Philly steak pita. I'm an avid cook and when I noticed how heavy my steak pita was I tossed it onto my digital food scale and was pleased to see the weight at 13.2 ounces - almost a pound of really tasty food. And my beef was served with a touch of au jus, making it moist. When you think of a restaurant named Pita Jungle your mind is naturally taken in that direction - pita pockets with mostly veggies. Pita Jungle is so much more. There are food items for all tastes including vegetarian and vegan. My wife has eaten here before. First time for me. Wow. Very impressed. The business name doesn't do it justice. They have a full bar and they also serve wood-fired pizza. We went for lunch at about 1:00 and the place was very busy. Unfortunately for the pizza restaurant right next door, not busy at all. I had the Mediterranean Tuna Pita Pocket and my wife had the Chicken Avocado Pita Tostada with Cauliflower Hummus. These bites are LARGE. The pockets are very thin so don't expect to be able to pick these up and eat like a sammy. You'll need a fork. Incredibly fresh, crispy and tasty. Excellent value for the small cost. Our server was friendly and attentive. We were seated immediately. We'll be going again. And again. We love Pita Jungle. Our service has been great both times we visited. They have a wide variety of food to choose from and all delicious! Our server, Ben, noticed we needed a box and brought one out before we even asked for one. I thought the foresight was excellent service and we plan to come back soon! I enjoy this Mediterranean style restaurant. The food is good. I especially enjoy the gyro wrap and garlic fries. Our water (I've had him several times) was friendly, courteous, and efficient. Got two different types of bowls (chicken and gyro), the amount of cabbage in both was so extreme we couldn’t even taste the rest of the ingredients. For the price I was EXTREMELY disappointed. Service was good but not phenomenal. Atmosphere felt weird. Reggae music to 90s rock, servers were piecing together to go orders right next to us on a make shift island of 6 tables pushed together. One of my favorite places, especially for date night or outings with friends. The store is inviting, and when the weather is nice, the patio seating is ideal. I've tried a few things--all delicious--but I always go back to the hummus plate with chicken. It comes with three flavors of hummus, all equally yummy, and it's big enough to take some home to enjoy later. The pita breads are wonderful too, nice and fluffy (there are 2 kinds, so be sure to ask!). The staff is helpful and attentive, the location is great with shopping and a movie theater next door. The mark of great service is not in making food without mistakes but in how you handle the mistakes. My spicy chicken wrap came without any chicken. I notified my waitress and she was quick to fix the problem. She got me a new wrap and let me snack on my first one while my new wrap was being made. Both were really good. We have ordered take out from Pita Jungle on multiple occasions and it never disappoints! They have a variety of healthy options and is a great choice if you have dietary restrictions or preferences. My husband enjoys the Wood-Fired Norwegian Salmon- it comes with smashed potatoes and wilted spinach and is delicious! He also liked the gyro. My go-to is the Mediterranean Chicken Shawarma Bowl- I like the variety of textures and the turmeric brown rice is yummy. This time we also opted for the hummus trio with Greek pita- it’s always a good choice! The portions are generous- even for a “small”- we enjoy leftovers the day after. Overall, we have consistently enjoyed positive experiences at Pita Jungle. Quality ingredients- I really like having them as a healthier option in the neighborhood. Love this place! First time trying and it was super yummy. Atmosphere is more bar like and not super cozy, but it’s a fun night out. Food was excellent, but portions. Service was great.
