Pechuga a La Parrilla
Coming back "home" for the first time in over 6 years, I wanted to try the food in this place. I had seen the reviews and pictures, and it raised enough curiosity to try it as soon as I got there. The area is well maintained the service was quick. Our waitress was amicable and answered all of the questions we had. We ordered a couple of frappes, one Piña Colada and another of Strawberry. Both seemed waterdown. Not much taste to them. To start we had a plate of "Bolitas de Mofongo" filled with Pork meat, then an order of "Mini Canasta with Churrasco" (good), a "Mofongo Bowl with Churrasco in Chimichurri sauce" (pretty good), a "Mofongo Bowl with Garlic Shrimp (very good), and a "Fried Pork Chop with fries" (good). To flush it down we ordered a couple of diet cokes and a water. It came down to a total of $69 without tips.
Heard about this place because see a video of a food blogger(Eduardo Toro)(had to give him the credit). I can’t believed it’s located about 4 min of my wife grandmother’s house. Had an open and wide parking space across the road. Start with the mojito’s they were good in flavor and price. The best dish we order was the “mash yam with shrimp”,it was very very good. Order “La Bandeja de platanutres reforzado” to share, the best thing of that was the “loaded platanutres with ground beef” very good. At the end It’s a good alternative if you are in the area.

Relaxing place, the set up of individual tables with tropical umbrellas are a good combination with nature around. Difficult to read menu, no lights by the tables so if it's dark no way you can read, need the phone flashlight. Beers are cold. The concept of plantain goes with the menu, all the choices in the menu are with plantains. Good stuff good price. Actually, in my opinion, it could be better if they seasoned the meats. I mean, chicken wings with no seasoning aren't wings. You cannot expect to add flavor to a meat with sauces. Sauces are a complement to add flavor but the meat needs salt or adobo type. Service by Yari was nice, very polite and cheerful.
