I stopped at Pollo for the first time to try their Bistec encebollado as this is my favorite Puerto Rican dish. I had high hopes that unfortunately fell flat. The bistec was very tough and there was no sauce or even moisture. The onions were nearly raw, the rice had some uncooked hard pieces and the beans were relatively bland. I thought the maduros were fine, but other than that I was disappointed. The staff were friendly, but didn’t make up for the lousy meal. Horrible service, cashier Carmen was rude and didn’t give me one of the desserts I paid for. When i went back she started acting as i was trying to get a free one. I freaking have my receipt and the bag you gave me! Definitely not returning. Burger was good, bongo bowls were ok but the bistec was old and cold Service Take out Meal type Lunch

No pork when we came in although it's on the menu. The chicken portion 1/2 chicken was way too small barely had any meat. The mogongo was extremely dry and just was like powder not good at all no. We've always stopped by Pollo Tropical on our visits to Miami. But were surprised to see it here in Puerto Rico, specifically in Humacao. The chicken is delicious (although I would have preferred my chicken breast a little crispier on the outside) and the rice and beans (your choice of pink or black) are savory. The other sides are mofongo, fried sweet plantains and many desserts including flan. A great place to try out Caribbean cuisine for first-timers. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
