Worse bacon, egg, and cheese I’ve ever had. Was really looking forward to an authentic NYC breakfast and this was not it. $8 for a sandwich that had minimal bacon on a soft and foamy flavorless roll. There was no salt, pepper, or ketchup like I asked for, either. Lame! The bagels are decent but never getting an overpriced and underwhelming breakfast sandwich from there again.

The bagels are very good. The cream cheese is also good. The service and staff are very rude, unwelcoming, and unprofessional. I don’t normally give bad reviews but after several visits to this establishment I felt so disheartened by my treatment that I was compelled to give a review. That being said the bagels are fantastic and are no doubt the only reason they are still in business. I stopped by Poppyseeds Bagels for the first time today! I didn’t realize what I have been missing! Not only was it beautiful and clean inside, but the baked goods displayed in the cases were almost irresistible! I was greeted kindly and efficiently, and when I received my order, I was blown away! I had an egg everything bagel, turkey sandwich. There was so much turkey on it, I could hardly get my mouth around it! I loved every bite and will definitely be back! 3-5 years ago this place and the other location in Austin village were at their prime. Since prices have more than doubled and the quality and quantity of food has remained the same or worsened I will not be returning. The bagels at Poppyseeds are fantastic. I always order an everything bagel with bacon, egg and cheese that is so delicious. They also have a nice selection of pastries, and the cinnamon rolls are my favorite. The staff is always very friendly and works hard.

Prices and quality have really worsened. I bought a 1/2lb of cream cheese (plain), and they charged $6.82. What’s worse is that the container wasn’t even full and weighed less than 1/2lb (even with the weight of the container included). Many of the bagels were also deformed.
