A local pub and restaurant located in the middle of the residential area. When I dined here, I was the only expat. The menu is only in Russian. But no problem, I used Google to translate. I give this place 4* rating because the price is relatively cheap compared to other similar pub/ restaurant where expats normally hang out. I made two orders: The sturgeon fish steak and the fried carp. The sturgeon steak was actually great! The meat is rich with nice texture to chew. It only cost me 2900 Tenge (7,5$). The fried carp was not bad either. It did not have any 'mud' taste at all. They also serve home brewed beer. It comes in glasses or in an extra large pitcher (see the photo) Not up to my taste, but it doesn't mean they are bad. Probably, white wine was the better match to the dishes I ordered.
Nice place to eat and drink. The place made look like it's Soviet Union times, furniture and decor are made of wood. The food 🍲 I ordered (Ceasar salad and beef stroganoff) was quite good.
