Restaurant manager seemed to have a chip on her shoulder when the waiter failed to explain the menu properly. Both seemed to lack basic listening skills and made things more complicated then they needed to be. Frustrating experience when we rode 1h40min for a special breakfast treat. I took clients for a quick coffee to the restaurant on Saturday morning. It was their 1st time in the estate and they were so impressed with the condition of the course and the gardens surrounding the Lodge. The service was friendly and prompt and the coffees hit the spot. The clients returned for lunch after our appointment and they advised that they had a wonderful meal! Stunning location, great food and awesome service!

Terrible food! I've been here twice. Last time, both of our mutton bunny chow got cold hard bread, mutton was also cold inside. Either of us enjoyed it. Today we ordered breakfast. Both of our toast tasted like old and stale. There was a bunch of hair strands in my eggs. Not only 1 strand, a bunch! Clean bathroom. Friendly staff.
