This outdoor restaurant was formerly Pelecanos. The menu has changed slightly, putting a greater emphasis on Mediterranean foods. The staff has remained relatively unchanged. It was our favorite restaurant during this, our third visit to the Hyatt Solara.
The menu changes only a little each night. However, a braised veal osso bucco was on the menu several nights. It's impossible to find a veal lamb shank in New York City! This was about the best meal we had during our nine night stay.
The entire staff at this restaurant, from the front manager, to the bartender, to the waitstaff, couldn't have done a better job. Each person came over several times during each meal to be sure that we were satisfied with our meals. Mixed drinks were outstanding and you absolutely have to insist that they stop bringing you more!
We were impressed with the entire waitt staff, especially Matalo and Ivan. We even got to meet three of the chefs, including Executive Chef Lester, Chef Luis, and Chef Roberto. Each is a highly skilled culinary artist and their efforts each night contributed to our appreciation of this outstanding vacation resort.
As an aside, we also went for dessert after lunch at the Hyatt Zilara's coffee shop. The staff there, especially Jose Luis, couldn't do enough to make us happy. We were literally like two kids in a candy shop – except it was ice cream and incredible pastries. Hotel management should be proud of each & every employee!
Came here for a night event and was lucky to check it out since it's an exclusive area you have to pay extra for to experience.
The rooftop is beautiful with great selection of alchohol, amazing views, chill pool, and dance floor.
Overall it's pretty cool.
