You would not believe what this place has to offer. Excellent, fresh seafood and service. The prices are incredible. Do recommend without hesitation. As I stayed nearby in the van I walked over for some food, WHAT I FOUND was excellent food service and hospitality, this place should be on a must go itinerary. And such a great beach to just hang out on. Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I had Lunch with some friends. Not fancy, food is very afordable and was delicious. Best food for price, my fish cost $12 with fried plantains. See pics. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you’re a tourist looking for authentic local food, this is your place! Excellent food, great prices, and simple atmosphere. Hint: if you’re staying at El Conquistador, take the funicular to the marina and walk. Other good restaurants there too (although we didn’t eat at the others). I had a very nice time at Racar. Great experience, it was too bad they didn't have conch. But all good. The snapper could've been bigger and crunchier. Over all a nice place to eat and hang Highly recommend the coconut arepas. I am from Venezuela, and I know arepas. These are good. Loved the experience and food. My server was Dorcas and she is THEEE BEST! She's really sweet, my party was of 10 people ( 4 adults, 4 kids and 1 toddler) and she took her time to talk to everyone, and coming from someone who does customer service for a living I can say I'll give her a 10 plus. Food wise, everything was fresh and excellent. Piña coladas 10 plus as well.. Dorcas si ves esto, soy la del grupo de los nenes con gustos humildes como tu beba..jeje..Dios te bendiga hermosa! You have to order at the Window then they bring it to you. The food is phenomenal. The red Snapper fillet (I got mine in garlic) was so tender it practically melted in my mouth, garlic was prevalent, but not overpowering. The coconut pastry was light and flaky with a hint of coconut. The mofongo was garlicky and tender with an abundance of flavorful shrimp (8). Wonderful experience

Good food and a nice location just across from the beach. Service was timely but understood because of the size of the crowd. Just one awkward feeling while paying where the server really just stared at us and my money while I was preparing her tip. That was super uncomfortable and it most likely was a tactic to make people tip more. It was totally lost on me, I don't get intimidated easily.
