The jungle inside comes alive!! Thunder, lighting, and animals are part of what makes this place feel more like a theme park that also happens to be a restaurant. There's also a gift shop. There were 5 kids' birthdays that were celebrated during our visit. We ordered the Bourbon Street Salmon & Coconut Shrimp, BBQ Chicken & Ribs, Pork Shank, and Kids Jurassic Chicken Tidbits. The food was good but very pricey. They serve large portions, though. You are really paying for the theme park atmosphere. We always enjoy Landry’s restaurants! The food is consistently tasty. My daughter chose Rainforest Cafe for our family to dine in for her birthday. We were promptly seated and our server, Tyler, was very attentive. He answered all of our questions, made good suggestions and led a spirited birthday chant for our girl. Although we were celebrating 1 of 4 children, everyone was happy. Can’t miss with a place like this. I tried a new salmon dish, which was delicious and when found my veggies were cold, Tyler swiftly brought out a piping hot new side for me. This place was a win for everyone, which is why I highly recommend it! We stopped in for a quick appetizer. It took over 35 min for our food and just water. The booth smelled like urine. The table didn't fit in the circular booth. We had to push it to one side. The waiter called me, "Boss" several times. He did check on us and got us out on time. I heard him call another lady ordering,, "Boss*....just unprofessional. The appetizer was very good and priced well. The bathrooms were not clean. Maybe just an off experience all around. The atmosphere was cool but this place needs sprucing up. Seemed run down. The best thing about this visit was the service. Jason was the best and he took care of us with all smiles. He was entertaining and on his toes the entire time. My husband had to wipe our tables down since they were poorly cleaned and left with food from prior customers and partially wet. The food came out cold and I do mean cold. Because we waited so long to eat I just asked if he could warm it up in the microwave so we could eat and leave. I gave stars according to our experience and as a Landry Select Member I expected more from this location. Didn't take pictures of all dishes, too busy having fun with toddlers. Good problem I guessed? 😊 Rainforest was always kids dream land. Magical atmosphere, thoughtful staff and kid friendly menu. Food quality might not be top notch but everything else made up for it. When kids were happy, so was I. Wonderful experience for kids AND adults. Definitely a fun place, we didn't go in peak hours which is the best way to do it. No wait at all and wasn't busy. The server was friendly and the food came out, not super fast but not slow either, just average. The food was decent, but I don't feel like I can give it an accurate rating bc I shared a meal and the people I went with ordered pretty boring food to start with. However, my son got the pizza and he loves all things food, but did not love it. My daughter got burgers and she loved them. Chicken fried chicken was pretty good and all the meals I saw around me honestly looked really delicious. Randomly during the meal the animals move around and make loud noises and the lights flicker, it's super fun, the kids loved that part. The fish in all the tanks are also super fun to look at. The decorations are what pulls you in, but the food is really a letdown, and the service is almost non-existent. 3 of us had the sirloin, and they were the driest steaks that any of us had ever eaten. We actually told the waitress, and she said that's what everyone says! I couldn't believe it. I asked her why she didn't tell us beforehand. Her reply was that, sometimes, they're good lol. The wait time is beyond me. Over two hours. This was my 5 year olds first experience eating at this restaurant but refused to leave but was hungry so we waited. The atmosphere is busy but nice with the feeling of a jungle experience. It was also my daughters 17th birthday so we wanted to celebrate! If you are looking to purchase the sparkling volcano please know they do not have the “sparkle effect” anymore. Wish this was told to me before ordering. I would have NOT ordered it. We asked for fries to come out before our food because we got to the mall hungry, waited 2 hours to be seated. The fries DID NOT come out first but they came out with the food 30ish minutes later. We chose “fast” meals because we didn’t want to wait any longer. My son enjoyed his time with cha cha. Cha cha spent good amount of time with each table and appreciated that. The balloon twister “Claudia” was great!! Please tip her! She’s so sweet and attentive. The food was alright. Bathrooms weren’t clean had to skip 3 stalls before getting to a clean one. Waitress Kai was attentive as busy as it was. Drinks were good. All in all my son was scared when it came to the thunder and lightning due to sensory issues I guess. I also saw other children experiencing the same problem. Enjoyed the experience but probably will pass on coming back due to the long wait. Didn’t go eat at the restaurant, just stopped by the shop. Very magical and super fun for the family/kids. They have a talking tree, a giant fish tank, and a lot for children to see. It’s located inside the mall, so super convenient for one to stop by and take a quick look without having to dine in. Atmosphere: 5

Absolutely great atmosphere. The food is very delicious and portions big, employees very kind and entertaining. Waiting time on spot can be multiple hours, so don't forget to do a reservation.
