My best friend and I had dinner last night at my favorite Red Lobster in Bloomingdale. The food was delicious. Enjoyed our free rewards appetizers. Service from Dina and her trainee Danielle was fun and great. I have been coming to this Red Lobster since they opened many years ago. It says a lot for a restaurant that keeps it's help for many years. It's nice to patronize A restaurant that the employees recognize you. Looking forward to my next visit soon, birthdays coming up. So displeased by this why would the kitchen serve something like this. You can see clearly that the lettuce has spoiled. I know the restaurant life is not easy but why serve a paying customer something you would not eat or feed your family and friends. I wish I would have checked my to go order more thoroughly. James at this location is an absolute Rockstar! I never go to red lobster, but I will come back just because of the service I received. He was super attentive while working the bar and the tables around it. By far the best service I've received at a chain restaurant in... I don't know how long if ever! You can tell James truly cares about his customer. I didn't eat, but stopped in for a couple drinks after work. He was very compassionate and kind. More people in the industry should be like James! It brings back and carries good memories. I do suggest at least for this location to get some kind of interior update brighten up the place a little more. Besides that I do hope it picks up more business like it usually use to do. The food is still delicious!!!! And staff are kind when they are available. After having a 3+ hour service experience at the Downers Grove location about a year ago, I had no desire to return to the Downers Grove location which I find understaffed to handle dine in and to go/Uber Eats volume. Instead I picked this Red Lobster location to satisfy my crab cravings. Our waiter did not disappoint. He was quick and friendly and the crab was delicious. It's a red lobster, so you know exactly what to expect. The service here has always been... slow. Different times of day, different waiters, it's always a wait for the food, and quite a wait for refills if you're doing the endless shrimp (which it seems half of us come here for).
