At first look — the logo is original and non-generic font. The atmosphere is beautiful and well designed from front desk area to dining room tables (flowers and lit candles). Service: as we were about to sit Chef Larry stopped us and asked, “is this a romantic dinner? Yes or no” and we said “yes,” and he said to the waiter, “sit them at table 34 so they can sit together, and dim the lights.” Our server, Kevin, was friendly, attentive, and had all good recommendations. The food was exceptional. I think Gordon Ramsay and Uncle Roger would both approve of their dishes, plating, and combinations. The descriptions were spot on and pricing was fair. We got the boneless spare ribs, Szechuan hot pepper chicken, shrimp, and eggplant, general tso’s chicken, cappuccino truffle gelato, and green tea ice cream. 1,000,000% recommending everyone to come here and will be back (maybe by the weekend). Excellent sushi. We ordered paradise roll, amer valley roll, salmon avocado roll and sheltontri color roll. It was delicious! Ambiance is on point, service is very efficient and friendly. Great menu. The bok choy appetizer was delicious! We had rolls, sushi, and sashimi and everything was melt-in-your-mouth fresh. The presentation is beautiful, too.

This was our first visit. Our server wasn't very prompt as we waited too long to give our order. From the time we were seated, it took just over an hour to get our dinner, and the 2 meals came 5 minutes apart. We watched our server constantly chatting with other customers in both the restaurant and bar. I'm not sure if that contributed to anything other than his delay in taking our order. We did have to ask the hostess for more sauce, after trying to see our server to ask him. The food was great, once we received it. We ordered a yellow fin poke bowl and a hibachi chicken dinner. My first review of a restaurant. Let’s go. Starting with the food. We were literally overwhelmed with all the meal choices and appetizers. We weren’t disappointed! The food was to die for! Next the service was exceptional; not just good! The weight staff was truly attentive and extremely helpful with choosing items. The kept coming back to ensure that we loved the food we ordered, and that everything was perfect. The staff was top notch and the owner chef Larry is a character! He was so charismatic and funny we thought we were family by the time we left Next the ambience! The place has the look, and feel of a very upscale restaurant it is very tastefully decorated inside and out. I couldn’t ask for a better looking spot to eat at overalls, the place was worth every penny we spent, and we had a very memorable experience hats off to Chef Larry and his staff. We've had lunch here quite a few time. Today's was great. #20Loren was a great waitress as were the others that got involved. Sashimi and raw and cooked oysters were very good as were the dumplings and spring rolls. The tuna-avocado salad was not dressed with anything. That's my one complaint. This is a great place to eat! This sushi is well articulated and purposeful; a Shelton strip-mall has never been so attractive. I've been dining at Red Lotus for a few years now and I have not once been disappointed. The quality of their fish is top-notch and the sushi ratios are the right amount. The ambiance is welcoming and cozy yet upbeat, the booths provide personal space while regular seating allows you to be part of the action. The owners recognize their patrons and care for you as a guest.
