AI MAMITA is my favourite restaurant in the whole beach area. It can be difficult to find places that are consistent and AI MAMITA, in my experience, manages to be pretty consistent in terms of food preparation. The flavours and quality are wonderful. The view and the place are beautiful, with fans so you can sit outside in a lovely green atmosphere. I ordered feta sandia and a vegetarian option that wasn't on the menu, as well as a fantastic yuca side dish. My bf enjoyed the cachichos and pasta camarón. (There is a wide selection of dishes, but mainly fish platters). If you are vegetarian, just ask for an alternative - they are happy to help! We enjoyed our dinner to the fullest and would come back any time.

This is probably the best restaurant in Santa Catalina. If you are looking to have tasty and healthy food made from fresh and high quality ingredientes, then you should dine here. The ambiance of the restaurant and the whole place is also very nice.

We ate dinner on our last evening in Santa Catalina and wished we had been here earlier. The service was super friendly and attentively. The food was cooked very fresh and nicely served. We had red snapper and tuna, which tasted amazing. We highly recommend the Yuca Mojo as side dish - very yummy.

Delicious!
I had a veggie omelette, whole wheat toast, bacon and a papaya juice for breakfast. Very filling.
I also had patacones & lobster for dinner. It was all very very good.
Excellent service. Super nice staff.

We were extremely pleasantly surprised when we found out how great this restaurant was. We were expecting to survive on rice and beans during our stay in Santa Catalina, instead we had the fortune of an excellent culinary experience by any standard. We did a few attempts at finding other places to eat in Santa Catalina but soon realized that the chance of finding something even close to the level of Ai Mamita was very low, hence we ended up eating 6 dinners here. I can especially recommend the arañitas, the pulpo and the lemon tarte! In addition to the food quality being amazing, the staff is just incredible, attentive, friendly and extremely service minded.

There were no people inside but the food was still freshly prepared and very gourmet. Fish was very good and the sides as well. The only downside is that kitchen is an open one and it faces the main sitting area - which means that if the wind goes the wrong way you are going to smell all the fried fish. Fortunately it goes away fast :)
I got the only veggie option, which was a mix of all the sides (coconut rice, yuca al mojo, roasted potatoes, green salad) I also got a passion fruit, papaya, pineapple juice.
Wow, what an unbelievable meal. Never had red snapper that tasted this good! Very refined with various herbs.

We had many breakfasts, lunches and diners at AI Mamita during our stay at Villa Coco. The food was very good. There are not too many options but they all are very appetizing. It was closed on Thursday night and I wish I could have had another meal at this place. The ambiance is really nice and the service, very good.
