Top notch food and great service. Pasta cooked perfectly al dente with fantastic flavor combinations. Nice wine list with wine available by the glass and limoncello to polish off an excellent meal. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €25–30

From an Italian who LOVES good food, Ernesto is worth every penny. Great service, fresh ingredients and every plate has something special and unique that you wouldn’t normally find elsewhere. We are regulars to Italian eateries worldwide with Italian family. We ordered ‘arroz negro com gambás’ and bruschetta. The second dish came first so we asked why ? The waitress expressed it was because we asked in that order! We replied that the entrada / antipasti would come before a mains dish normally. The mains dish had arrived with lightning speed and was not tasty to our palate. We decided to cancel the bruschetta and leave.. …though not before visiting the gelato parlour next door. We found this to be a delight. The owners sister was very friendly and suggested tasting many flavors that we enjoyed. Many parlours object to tasting - not conducive to maintaining or attracting customers imo. We subsequently viewed some of the commentary and found the owner’s comments / retorts to the client’s comments were occasionally questionable… Clearly we can all have variant experiences: this was a less positive one redeemed by the flavors next door. Gorgeous Italian food, everything perfectly prepared; the polpo was tender, the pasta al dente, and the tiramisu light, almost airy and creamy. Add good coffee and friendly, observant service. All you need for a great meal with friends and/or family ❤️

It's 'okay' food. The service was fantastic and the waiters are great, but the food was average. The ravioli was a bit bland and the Frito misto was very dry, no sauce or anything. It was more of a side dish, multiplied by 4. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We were completely disappointed. Carpaccio di manzo was terrible, spaghetti alle vongole tasteless. Very expensive for the quality which was delivered. Would not come back for sure. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

The best food we have enjoyed in Portugal by a country mile. Ernesto and his wife are incredibly hospitable, their food exquisite, well presented and timely, would not be surprised to see a Michelin rating in the not to distant future.
