We had a lovely and authentic Portuguese meal at Faria’s. The atmosphere was exactly what we wanted to experience while in Sao Miguel. Like being at a family members home. Amazing food, great atmosphere, and fantastic staff. We came after a hike and were welcomed with smiling faces and attentive staff! The food was hot, delicious, and came out so fast! I ordered the meat stew (€7?) and my husband ordered the fried quail (€10? €12?). I would recommend this place to everyone!

The best thing was the staff (a waiter that really trued his best to speak Spanish even though we could understand eaxh other in slow Portuguese and English) and the ammount of food we were given. The prices are very affordable. The quality of the food is improvable, but it was alright. The Queijo de San Jorge tasted amazing and the batatas fritas and the egg were perfectly cooked. The pork was a little bit dry at some points, but it was still very well. I encourage you to come visit this place.

WOW! What an authentic local restaurant. The server we had could not speak English, but despite the language barrier, it was just like your grandfather was preparing you a meal. We had the octopus, rabbit, and a bottle of local wine. To finish off the meal, we had chocolate mousse (divine!), and our waiter brought out his skill moves by flipping the Bacardi bottle and spiking our chocolate mousses. I loved it! Characteristic and cozy, they speak a bit of English but for the full experience it's better if you try your best to talk with them in Portuguese. The menu is fully in Portuguese, few very good choices. Very big portions. Absolutely inexpensive compared to the dishes you get to have. Ps. Best coffee I had in the Azores so far (I've been 2 weeks around already and visited different islands; plus I'm Italian and I think I know how to recognize a good espresso) Lovely experience!

Small local restaurant. Don't expect Michelin experience but honest and delicious local food. The staff speaks no English but they are so nice and friendly it is not a problem at all. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €10–15

The amount of food you get for the price is awesome. After eating here you won't be hungry anymore. The food is very delicious and the staff is really kind.
