I always eat here when I stay at Casa Agricola Levada (just up the road). Very friendly, family cooked food, amazing price and warm atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something simple and quick to eat, that tastes great!

I would be hard pressed to call this one of the best meals I had in the region. However, the food was good, the portions were large and our server was friendly and earnest in her efforts to communicate in English. We just had one of the most delicious meals since we have been in northern Portugal. Restaurante Gina was recommended by the hosts at Casa Agricola da Levada. It is a short walk (less than five minutes) from the casa to Restaurante Gina. The restaurant was full and very busy when we arrived yet we were seated quickly. The owners and other customers at Restaurante Gina were welcoming and friendly! On the recommendation of the owners, we shared a meal of grilled veal, fried potatoes and a wonderful red wine from the Douro Valley. The food was absolutely fantastic. My husband wanted to have dinner, I wasn't that hungry, neither I wanted a typical Portuguese food. I told him, I seat with you and you eat. We walked at restaurant A ponte. Fomos muito bem recebidos. We were received in a super warm way. The food was ridiculous good. Rice, great salad, steak, french fries and a house wine. I couldn't help myself but eat some of it. The place is clean, attentive service and great food. I couldn't believe it, better food in Portugal so far. Obrigada!
