Looooved this restaurant! Yes it’s pricey, but the view and the the freshness of the ingredients are so worth it.. I had the clams, red snapper and tomato salad, everything was tasty. The service I received was professional, welcoming and attentive. Highly recommend if you’re not on a tight budget.
Delicious, fresh food (I had the fish) and friendly service. A great view over the beach and sea makes for the perfect relaxing treat. A favourite when in Alvor.

During my latest holiday in Alvor I visited Restinga 3 times , this was quite out of character . Usually I do not chose the same place to eat , no matter how good it was . Well , Restinga has changed this tradition . What was so special about it ? Restaurant is set in the pictures location , in dunes , just off the wide sandy beach , when sitting on the terrace , the view of the turquoise ocean is stunning . Food is delicious , fresh , cooked with care and love up to perfection , only locally sourced ingredients are used and the quality of fish and seafood are outstanding . But the most precious of all, are people ! People who run the place , there are amazing ! They all work as a team complementing and helping one another , they are friendly , polite , knowledgeable, professional , funny , not overwhelming . They speak quite a few languages , they make you to feel relaxed , cared for and very special .

Excellent food and great service.
Visited twice in 1 week: had the cataplana which was fantastic and was more than enough for two people; second visit I had the razor clam risotto which was also delicious.
Despite not booking a table I was able to get one both nights without a problem. I felt confident in the place as it was often busy with other Portuguese, not just foreign tourists. The wait staff were attentive and helpful and the atmosphere (and views) were great too.

Highly highly recommended!
The prices seem a bit expensive HOWEVER Portuguese portions are BIG and the quality of the seafood is top, specially clams at this place. The 'Canja de Restinga' showed on the photo is suggested for two in the menu, but we ate 3full dish each out of the pot that they bring to you on the table. CONCLUSION, it's not expensive at all. The Cataplana dishes are massive portions too
Home made peri-peri (spicy Portuguese sauce) is very good.
