My family and I are staying in Seabrook for the holiday weekend and decided to dine at the Rising Tide Tavern. The atmosphere is beautiful and it is decorated subtly. We arrived on a slow Sunday evening and there was only one front of house staff, but it took us over an hour to be seated and over 45 minutes more to be seated for dinner service. Our server was great, very friendly and personable, but I think management did her a disservice by short staffing the restaurant. In the hour that we were waiting for our table, four other parties came in and left because no one came in to check in with them to be seated. Our food was delicious. I ordered the schnitzel, my husband ordered the beef stroganoff, and other members of our party were satisfied with the steak Sammy and burger and huge portion of loaded fries. However, I am dissapointed that the cocktails were priced at $25-$28, the price of an appetizer. I cannot fathom how these costs were determined after visiting the local market with alcohol just steps from the front door. Overall, great atmosphere, great service, low staffing levels and insane wait times, and insanely overpriced cocktails. Cocktails at the Eiffel Tower in Paris and some of the nicest restaurants in Seattle don’t reach these prices. Please reconsider the cocktail prices. Would recommend, but be prepared to wait and I’d order a beer.
