We so enjoyed the Riverside Cafe! The staff were very friendly and helpful.We started with fresh calamari. I had Greek Lasagna and was very pleasantly surprised. It was very rich & creamy. My husband had the shrimp platter and was very happy with his choice. We shared a piece of fresh key lime pie. Oh yum 😋 Highly recommend this wonderful little treasure in St. Mary's, GA. Fantastic Greek food! I didn't even know they had Greek food when we chose to eat there, but I was so happy when we went in. Service was wonderful. They were busy with the lunch rush but they handled the service perfectly. If you go you have to get the baklava! It's perfect 🥰 First time trying the Bifteki, glad I did! We stayed in St. Mary's GA January 2023. We are planning to spend a few days in St. Mary's again in February 2024. My wife and I agree that eating at Riverside Cafe as often as possible is a must. We both have traveled extensively for business and pleasure, this place is one of those places that you remember for years. I hope the young man waiter is still there. His service was impeccable. I never say service is impeccable, but his was that good! The food was hot and tasted like it should. We got appetizers and dessert. It was all excellent. Great spot for lunch after coming back from Cumberland Island. The cajun chicken sandwich was delicious and it came with a large portion of french fries. This little gem of a Cafe is amazing and when speaking of service over the top and we had Marsha and she was the best ever. No let's get to the good part the food. Don't eat before you go. Let me tell you the food is cooked to order and fresh and piping hot when served. The portions are huge and good. I have placed a menu with my review and they have blackboard with special s I also put up pictures a long with beer listening and dessert if your in the area of St. Mary's please stop and support this Cafe you want be disappointed at all. There is so much room to choose from when sitting to eat outside or two spaces inside. Please stop by and get some great food. And a little hint all of the dessert are made fresh in house daily and the Baklaba will melt in your mouth I had to go back the next day to get another piece. Please enjoy the pictures and the menu with the prices. Just to mention when looking at some of the pricing it is worth every penny you want be disappointed. Had the Moussaka. One word, “sublime”. Heard about the french fries being sooo good. We ordered one for the table. Very generous portion and outrageously good. Super crispy and had some sore of extra crunchy stuff on it. Will get both again. A real gem in this town. The other Greek dishes are also very good. Great restaurant, cute outside seating with a river view. Food was delicious. I had the stuffed eggplant. My husband had a south-west grilled chicken sandwich. And we got take out dessert Baklava that people are raving about....which I did not like, btw ..it was extremely sweet..if you like sticky buns, you'll like it. What an amazingly pleasant surprise the riverside cafe was. I ordered the tuna and it was cooked perfectly and the lasagna was delicious too. Although we were too stuffed for dessert, they looked fantastic and that will definitely be on the schedule for next time. One of our favorites! 😍 We go for our Greek food fix, but they offer a varied menu. Their food is always fresh and cooked to order. There are always daily specials. When they offer their crabcakes, be sure to get them!! They are delish and the only time I don't order a greek dish. They offer inside or outside dining. I recommend outside with a beautiful view of the water and boats across the street. Their desserts look amazing, but always too full to sample them.
