est. 1971, The Rock was a part of my central Japan vacation experience. I kept the details Top Secret to my family, yet my kids were wondering why we needed to drive over an hour from Kurizawa, Nagano for dinner. My entire family was impressed. I started with the beer sampler, which I would recommend. I found a wiener sampler on the Hors d'oeuvre menu, and upon inquiry found out The Rock makes its own wieners, and the three on the menu are not inclusive to all the wieners they make. I recommend ordering all five wieners, which come with spicy true mustard, and sauerkraut, which is amazing for remote Japan. My Cub Scouts and Boy Scout expertly roasted marshmallows over the fire, and we had Japanese customers spying on our technique, which is really open source. 30' Christmas Tree fully decorated topped off the night thank you for a fantastic memory.

sometimes we have been coming here since our son's childhood.
actually it's a little expensive but staffs have a kindness mind and good jobs.
i have ever eaten the Beef curry and i have ever drunk the Beer too.
these were so delicious!

More incidental style in almost all aspects. Staff understands a little English, but there is no English menu.
The place has also craft beers and reasonable overall price.

The brew master used to work for Kirin, but now makes German style beers the way he thinks they should be made.
The food is great, too, especially the curry rice.
The curry here is out of this world. The portions are also quite large. They specialize in different meats and sausages and even sell them inside if you want to take some home.
Great food and beer, nice atmosphere and good prices.
I recommend the curry with sausages.
Going there, don't miss the opportunity of walking around. There are many cool shoppings and beautiful gardens.
