Very slow service - I don't know if it was because it was Sunday, because we looked like pilgrims or because we did not look/speak Portuguese (or all of the above) but the service was awful.
Serving in a restaurant is an ungrateful job and I thus always try to empathize with servers and to be as understanding as possible.
In this case however, my patience was tested to the limit. It took more than half an hour before a waiter even looked at us, despite our repeated attempts to get their attention. Even then, he refused to take our order, pretending he was too busy. 15 minutes later, he finally came to get our order (2 francesinhas, as the menu of the day was sold out already (at 14h)). After taking the order, we however still had to wait 30 minutes before he came to clean the table and give us some bread, and 20-30 more minutes to get our order. The francesinhas were decent, but nothing exceptional.
Worst of all, however, was that several customers that came in 30 minutes or more after us were served before us.
TL;DR: Okay food, but awful service (2h waiting time for 2 simple dishes).
Very very gentle people. We asked to call us a taxi for the airport in a very windy and rainy day and the helped us with kindness and patience. Very good italian coffee and cappuccino! Top!
Excelente local para tomar um café, apreciar um pastel ou almoçar. Os almoços são excelentes e bem conficionados tendo todos os dias dois pratos à escolha e seis alternativas ( estas sempre as mesmas ), com sopa, pão, bebida, café e sobremesa ( que não se pode escolher ), por 7 euros em 2023.
Não dou nota 5 porque no interior e no verão a climatização é insuficiente e faz muito calor.
