The place ia very nice and huge. You have multiple restaurant to choosw from. I ate at the portuguesse restaurant. The poncha is excellent!! The food is tasty, with multiple choices and big plates. Great food hall with many different global food options. I opted for a Madeira local dish that was delicious and very nice portion- plus the glass of wine was only $5! There was a small band playing and plenty of TVs to watch sports as well. It was a cool vibe on a Friday night and the pricing for most spots is more than reasonable. Plenty of seating available and staff cleans the tables very frequently. Would definitely go back on another trip to Madeira. Ordered to try the famous black scabbardfish (espada) and it was amazing! Fast service, very cheap and huge portions. The place was a bit harder to find, but it was totally worth the search. Punch of Madeira was also great, recommend this place 100%! Staff was very cool and good english speakers. We have walked past this place over the years many times whilst stopping at the Savoy Palace. So we decided to give it at try especially with a 10% discount as a SP member . Boy did we love it. We ended up visiting 4 times. A food court type setting. I had The badileros 2 small beef skewers chips and huge salad was excellent. In fact what ever I saw being being served was huge. The staff were very helpful spoke excellent English and with excellent menus with great descriptions it was so easy to choose. The food arrived very quickly and hot and tasty. The price was also excellent. We will definitely return when we come again. Live music artist also on certain days with sport on the TV if your into that... A great place that isn’t too fancy that you can’t just pitch up after walking or with the kids and associated buggies. Good service and a selection of food. We went traditional and it was lovely. It’s quieter just after lunch and for me, not too loud with the music. They also have sport playing so if you just fancy a pint and watch the match, good for that too. Great place to eat and drink. Really good Madeiran food. Hot, freshly cooked. The seasoning on the chips is moreish. Salad is a meal itself not a garnish, very fresh and crisp. Meat cooked perfectly. Smoky sauce on the ribs delicious. Really good bolo de cacophony, chunky chopped garlic. David behind the bar is very friendly and helpful. Knowledgeable about the wine list, our red wine was fab. Large seating area, multiple food outlets so everyone can choose what they want, Madeiran, burgers and Mexican open the night we were there. Quiet on a Monday night at 9.30pm so don't let the empty seats put you off. There was a large local family celebrating a birthday. TVs for sport and live music schedule.
