We had a fun and interactive experience. Sammy was a great teacher and excellent player. She gave a good history and description of the different types of drums. We feel very lucky to have experienced this in a very special location.

We had an incredible drumming experience here! Mika-chan was an incredible drummer and a patient teacher. The drums are beautiful, the room is beautiful and the view is beautiful. I’m inspired to find a place to do taiko drumming back home. So much fun!

Awesome experience, totally recommend if you're on Sado Island. Make sure to call or book through a tour group so you can ensure the lesson times before you go.

We have wonderful experience here. Teacher Sami is the best! We will recommend this place. Easy to book and convenience for oversea folks to arrange the trip! If you visit Sado, you don’t want to miss it!

We loved this experience! I've been a Kodo fan since I moved to Japan, and love to watch their performances. I was so happy to know that we can visit their center in Sado and experience taiko with a Kodo member for 1 hour. Yonei-chan, the instructor, was so kind, funny and exciting to learn from! He taught how to play on the small drum and large big drums. He also explained a lot about how Kodo members practice every day, how they are disciplined and how tough the journey can be. I highly recommend this to anyone who is visiting Sado or who is a fan of Kodo/Taiko performances. We paid 2100 per person, and it was definitely worth the price. Hope to visit again in the future! Thank you Yonei-chan!

Amazing drumming workshop with Sammy. Lots of fun for everyone in the family. There aren't many places you get to play such huge drums made of 700 year old trees. Fabulous experience.

This a great way to experience what Taiko is. A one hour instruction by a world famous Kodo drummer is available by making a reservation inquiry on their website. It was a very informal instruction that focuses on having fun which makes this accessible for young children, adults and elderly. The instructor did a short music music piece on the o-daiko (large drum) that was really amazing. They also sell Kodo souvenirs (shirts, music, etc).
