Japanese cuisine under the direction of the great chef is gorgeous at this place. You can always degust good steaks, sushi and prawns - a special offer of this restaurant. It's time to degustate delicious beer. Sagano is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Average prices at this place are good news for its visitors. As a number of reviewers remark, the atmosphere is nice. Based on the users' feedback on Google, this spot deserved 4.1.

I have been to several Saganos locations, most recently on 10-28-23. There are pros and cons Pros: the waitress and chef at the hibachi were lovely. There was top notch entertainment and congeniality by the hibachi chef. The waitress was attentive and listened well. The food was delectable. The hibachi steak, chicken, and scallops were tender, seasoned, and flavorful. Also, the portion sizes are large. You will not leave hungry. The prices are very reasonable for the amount and quality of food you receive . BTW, I never had scallops from here until today. Their scallops are HUGE. So yummy. FYI, there is now an upcharge for fried rice. It used to be that the default for dinners was that you automatically get fried rice,and you had to ask for steamed rice if you wanted it instead. Now, the default for the meals is steamed rice, and it's $2.95 extra if you want fried rice. Cons: it is hard to know what the hours of service are. The hours listed on Google are not the same as what is listed on the website, and it's also different than their phone's voicemail. Your best bet is to call the restaurant and speak to a live person. Or, if the restaurant would just update their hours on all platforms, that would be great. Yet, even though I did call ahead, when I arrived it still ended up being unclear whether or not they would serve us. I called ahead and was told to arrive by 8:15 or 8:30 if I wanted to be seated, and that they don't seat people at the hibachi after 8:30. I arrived at 8 pm and the hostess said she had to "go check with a coworker to see if we can seat you". I was thinking , what do you mean by "IF" ? I had arrived well before closing, there should be no question about whether you will seat me or not. We ended up waiting about 15 minutes and then we're seated. Also, Saganos tends to be a bit loud. Patrons are quite noisy. Not the place to go for a quiet or calm ambiance. Good food though. Arrived with my family of 5 a few minutes after they opened on a Saturday evening, we put our name in with the hostess and was told about an hour and a half wait, which we anticipated. We decided to wait there and have a few drinks at the bar. We sat right next to the hostess stand and were able to see/hear every single party that came in and put their in name and heard the hostess tell everyone between an hour and a half and 2 hours. An hour and a half after we sat down the hostess sat another table with a party of 6 and a party of 4 that came in after. When we asked she said they had come in earlier and put their name down but left while they were waiting. We didn't believe them since wr got there about 4 minutes after they opened, but went with it and said okay. She told us that we were the best table and that the people that were already there were getting boxes and should be leaving soon. About 15 minutes goes by and she then seats another table with a party of 4, a party of 2 and a party of 3. All of which arrived at least 30 minutes after we did. We watched and heard these people come in, we know they did not have their name in before us. Yet when my wife asked what our wait was, she said that we still had THREE tables ahead of us (even though when I asked we were next), then tried telling em all those people were there first again. We used to come here monthly, but after the hostess lied to our faces multiple times then acted like we were the issue, we will never go there again. You should go here for the Hibachi experience. I hear their sushi is good, as well. That said, I would not order off of their "bistro" menu. Not their forte.

My fiance took me here for my birthday dinner. They do close a little early on weeknights, but they were able to fit us into the last hibachi table of The night. The chef was awesome, funny, very talented. I loved all the courses of the food. The soup and the salad were both out of this world. They have a great selection of beers including Japanese beers. We shared a bottle of sake. I loved my steak, the vegetables, the noodles, the fried rice, and the sauce that came on the side. I will definitely go back. The food was fantastic as usual but the chef had no personality. We come for the food and the entertainment. It seemed only 1 of the chefs had any personality the night we went. Yes, it tends to be the same jokes but at least it makes it fun while waiting for him to cook the food. Update 5/20/23: Saturday 6pm for 2 people is a 45 minute or more wait. Staff was not too friendly. Update: 9/8/21: Continued excellent food. Waitress was training another person but did her best. It appears they deleted my last review and Google asked me to rate it again. LOL Probably because it was related to waiting for 2 hours to be seated. Update 1/2020: seating has improved and continued great food. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Very nice place to eat. The chairs around the table are a little bit close. It would feel less claustrophobic if I can have my personal space while eating. Remove the two corner chairs and spread people out to the other tables. Especially since only one table is used at a time. Would be much appreciated and decrease the waiting time until the table is filled. Having to wait until 4 other people come in is also not perfect. I went there with my Aunts and Son. This was our first time there and we are definitely going back. They had a choice of shrimp, chicken, or steak for the lunch special. The food was spectacular 😍💜!!! I enjoyed watching them cook. It was a really fun experience. The yum yum sauce was good 😋!!! The bathrooms were nice and clean. The staff was fun and friendly. This is a must go to!!! It's not just dining it's a whole new experience and fun memories!!! The lunch came with soup and salad as well!!! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20
