A decent experience at Sally Port Pizzeria in Valetta! The service here is fantastic, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The staff was attentive, making sure we felt right at home. The prices were reasonable. However, when it comes to the pizza, the margarita fell a bit short of expectations. The tomato sauce lacked the punch of flavor I was hoping for – it could definitely use more seasoning to bring out that classic pizza taste. Additionally, the basil was a bit sparse, leaving me craving more of that fresh herb goodness. Despite these small critiques on the margarita pizza, I appreciate the overall effort and attention to service and atmosphere. It's a solid spot for a casual meal, and with a few tweaks to the pizza, it could easily become a go-to pizza joint in Valetta. Italian pizzeria at the outskirts of Valletta, just a short walk from the fortress of St. Elmo. The pizza crust was thin and crunchy, possibly a little bit overcooked. However, the flavour was good, the dough was light and the ingredients used were very fresh. Not so nice was when we were asked to switch table because some other people had pre-booked it before we did, after having been seated and waiting to be served for about an hour. Nonetheless, mistakes happen, and the delicious pizza compensated for this slight logistic mistake. I went to Sally Port on a Saturday, for an early dinner. We took two pizzas, one Margherita with rocket and one diavola, and fried calamari. Pizza was very nice, good ingredients and the dough was also nice. Calamari equally good and generous portion. The place is super scenic, on a nice bay and not too far from the city centre but in a quiet spot, ideal for couples and families! It's also 10 min away frlm the ferry to Sliema. One of the best places I been to. Came to eat here, when on holiday, last year. Definitely wanted to return and certainly wasn’t disappointed. Great food and location, atmosphere was lovely as violin was being played as we ate. Not a big place so might be worth booking.
